I just finished reading this book last night – Room
Its about a young woman who was kidnapped and held for over 7 years during which time her son – Jack – was born. They lived in ROOM. The entire book is written through Jack’s eyes who is now 5.
I found it disturbing but compelling. I couldn’t put it down – I will definately be lookig for more books by Emma Donoghue – who just happens to be Canadian! I love that!

I read that book! It still haunts me a little.
This book has stayed with me even after a year has gone by! Powerful story of what it means to be a mom and to nurture a family no matter the circumstances!. It really is a must read.
