Here we are again…FRIDAY! The weekend is just around the corner, sun is supposed to shine, the temperatures are rising, the days are longer…it does the soul good!
It also means it time again for WHERE YOU CREATE! This week I have a wonderful space to share with lots of eye candy! Take your time and look at each picture. Left to right, up & down. There is a TON of inspiration here. Ideas for storage and decorating. Catherine has puts lots of heart and soul into this creative space, I LOVE her attention to detail. Tissue handy??? Prepare to drool!
Hi my name is Catherine Rosengren and I live in Peace River, Alberta.
I share a large space (actually the entire third level of our rented side split home) with my boys. The half craft room, half playroom works perfect for us as we get to “play” together.
I am spoiled to have so much room and such a big work space. There is always room for friends to come craft with me and it is great for bigger crafty get togethers. The main table top is held up by Jetmax storage cubes. The table top itself was a $5 broken piece of board I got at the hardware store, cut down and painted. What I love about it is that it was cheap so I don’t care what happens to it. I get paint, glue, ink and cuts on it and it doesn’t matter!
I love creative storage. I do use a lot of the Jetmax storage cubes from Michaels but I find that I don’t use what I don’t see as much so I have come up with some storage solutions that also function as pretty decorations.
I love jars. They work perfect to store lots of different things. I have a huge jar of ribbon ends, a large jar of ribbon spools, a jar of washi tape, an apothecary jar with twine wound around old clothes pins. I also use baskets, tins, and the unexpected colander to store my pretty stuff.
I also like to display my favorite creations and so I have a frame with clothes pins holding handmade cards and a curtain rod with clips to pin up current layouts. I also collect frames from yard sales and thrift stores to use for display and decor. I probably have too many lol.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you found something inspiring in my space! I love looking at other peoples creative escapes and getting ideas to incorporate into mine. Happy Scrapping 🙂
We want to see where you scrapbook or craft! It is so easy! Snap a few photos of your space and tell us a bit about it. Email your photos (as attachments to a SINGLE email, please) to Kim at kim[at]canadianscrapbooker[dot]ca. Each Friday, Kim will pick a scrap space to highlight on our blog. We are so excited to see where you have been creating!
