Sorry to be a bit late today with WHERE YOU CREATE. I was out last night to see Adam Lavigne/Maroon 5 in concert [where THEY create!] and didn’t get my blog post complete until this afternoon! I know many of you who “swoon” over Adam will understand my scheduling dilemma! So without further ado, let’s get to this week’s creative space!
Diane Kohl lets us take a peek into very organized space!
Here are a few shots of my little art space. We call it the blue room; it used to be my daughter’s bedroom that was painted her favorite color. It is also the smallest studio space I have ever had!
To make it work functionally, I used plastic storage towers and book cases for floor to ceiling storage. I have a great paper cabinet; purchased from Canadian Tire about 12 years ago.
For maximize space and lighting I have my 8ft table in the middle of the wall. I have a chair on both sides so my “company” is comfortable.
I have a small walk in closet with the door removed to make it easier to access. Inside is a bookshelf that is home to my photo prints which are stored chronological and indexed. Yes! I actually print my memories! There is room in the closet for bins with negatives, cases, kits and even a paper tower.
I hope these photos illustrate just how crazy organized I love to be! I am lucky to have a room like this!
I spent a few days in my blue room reorganizing my stamps and new supplies while recovering from major surgery, it was a great way to heal.
My Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine was a “good friend” while away from home, friends & family, in the hospital, after my surgery. Thank You!

Awesome use of small space . I find I work better with a window in the room , as without one I feel too restricted.
Great space! Everything has a place and everything in its place — wish I could adhere to that. {LOL} Thanks for sharing your studio.
Looks great!
Excellent space! Made great use of the storage.
love your space. I have an even smaller room in a 100 yr old home, slanted roofs, so it is difficult to organize but I manage somehow, lol. enjoy your space.
