Another Friday has made it into our lives! I am frantically packing last minute things for our holidays; it leaves me feeling anxious and excited at the same time! One thing that ranks up there on the “awesome list” with holidays is a well organized craft space! You will LOVE Christine Traversa’s space. She has some great ideas for keeping things in their organized place
The room was 9 long years coming together, but worth the wait. When I first come in the door, I have my patterned paper on a tall rack, and a long work table with stools. I love this work area, my daughters sometimes paint there and it is very handy for holiday gift wrapping.
I wanted a space to have all my “color agents” I have them in a recessed wall area on shelves. This includes watercolor and acrylic paints, pastels, colored embossing powders, colored crystal accents, colored glue sticks, Stickles and more. The recessed area is just past the work table.
I have a large built in storage closet; I keep my sewing machine in a cubby there, my embossing folders and embossing machine there. Beads and wire are housed there as well; plus so much more. Nearby are my ribbons, Washi tape and buttons.
My desk area has a built in area for cardstock colors, this idea was gleaned from Jennifer McGuire. I keep lots of supplies close hand on the desk, such as my Copics, Wink of Stella, Tombow markers, etc… My acrylic stamps are now housed on the desk, and cabinets above keep stencils, my Spellbinders machine with shims, and more.
Near the desk I keep a rolling cart with essentials. Scissors, tape, adhesives, trimmers, scorers, and acrylic blocks are on the cart; all my “must haves”! To the right of this area is my Silhouette station with tools.
Recently I added magnetic covering to a wall to store my dies. I am enjoying this set up, and constantly reworking the areas/stations so I can feel most comfortable and productive. I have to say I love the floor very much. It is a floating faux wood floor, and it is so easy to clean. I enjoy having a window in the room for added light. There is a cozy upholstered resting chair and a TV that plays movies; my 14 year old spends time with me and enjoys this feature.
Crafting is more fun, more relaxed and more creative with supplies organized. For that reason I love having all my supplies nearby, but located in a way that works with me, not against me.
Thank you again! Christine

looks like an amazing space to create!!! Love the storage for your coloured card stock, where did you get it?
a cheery and spacious place to create, lucky you. enjoy.
My husband built the paper storage atop Ikea cabinetry. It was not our idea, rather a feature we saw and loved on Jennifer Mcguire’s blog. Thanks so much!
Congrats, Christine! This craft space is amazing! It’s so wonderful to see how you set up and organized your supplies. Love it!!
