Hello everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share a layout I designed using the August Sketch and Creative Memories.
Have you heard that Creative Memories has returned to the crafting industry? I know there are many of you who are thrilled about this news!
I thought that their papers would be perfect to scrapbook some photos of icebergs I took while visiting Newfoundland in July. Thanks to my friend, Michelle Marks, we went “Iceberg Hunting” and found these beauties! I was in AWE.
I used a couple of paper packs from Creative Memories: Neutral and Vintage.
I thought the combination of blues and greys worked well for my iceberg themed page.
I created the diamond pattern background layer with my Brother ScanNCut machine, cut it from watercolour paper, and then painted it in ombre blue shades with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
If you haven’t tried these Tombow pens, then you really have to! Just scribble, add water….and magic happens!
For my journaling, I used a Creative Memories 4×6 journaling card and cut it down to size. Then I wrote with the Creative Memories Black Dual-Tip pen. I also doodled around the edges of my title banner and background layer with this pen.
I used another Creative Memories Silver Metallic Pen to hand letter part of my title “hunting.” The silver pen is so pretty in real life!
The white “iceberg” title is also designed and cut with my Brother ScanNCut from Canadian Scrapbooker Superstock paper.
