Hello Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout featuring Wild Whisper Designs patterned paper and an elegant  Quietfire Design stamped quote.  Wild Whisper is a new company out of Calgary Alberta and they design beautiful and unique 12×12 double sided paper collections and paper scrapbooking cards.
I had this photograph from a family road trip a few years ago, and the colours from the Wild Whisper Designs collection called ‘Strong and Free’ worked perfectly.  The paper has a little bit of a gloss to it and the variety of designs and colous in the collection are very fun to work with!
The matching scrapbooking cards would work really well for pocket page type scrapbooking but here I just tucked some of them behind my photo.

WIld Whisper also offers some free cut files.  The white leaves on my scrapbook layout were cut from file called ‘World’s Best’ and is available here.   Although I didn’t use any of the words in this cut file, they would be useful for other projects.  I also embellished the page with some wood veneer twigs and sequins to add a little texture and sparkle.  These are also available at the Wild Whisper website.

My scrapbook layout is very loosely based (you’ll need a lot of imagination) on the December 2017 sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s sketchy gallery.  I liked the circle elements in the sketch, but rather than solid circles,  I just hand cut a couple of circular rings out of cardstock and tucked them in behind the photograph.
I just love putting quotes on scrapbook pages, and this stamp from Quietfire Design was perfect.    Summers in Canada are short and for years my family would always do a short road trip through the Rocky Mountains to enjoy the scenery and do some short hikes.
