Each and every week, we look back in time and remember the beautiful art of our late friend and colleague Christy Riopel.
Christy’s designs are timeless. So many of her creations from way back when continue to inspire us today.
This week we are looking back to the Winter 2015 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. This was our 10th-anniversary issue and Christy Riopel played a HUGE role in putting this issue together. From her Top Ten Background Techniques feature to her Top Ten Must-Have Tools – this issue was packed with love from Christy.
One of my favourite projects that Christy created for this issue was her take on the front cover.
Not only did she create a stunning layout but the cake that our gorgeous model is holding was also designed by Christy.
This cake went on to be our signature look for anything and everything celebrating our 10th anniversary.

In loving memory of Christy Riopel – we continue to raise money for the Christy Riopel Art Scholarship. To date – one scholarship has been given through The Boys & Girls Club of Calgary. This warms my heart knowing that Christy continues to spread gentle, caring and inspiring love through art in our world. Thank you so much to everyone who donates.
