Scrap Happy 2 Collection by Creative Memories with Noreen Smith

Hi all! It’s Noreen Smith here with a layout featuring the Scrap Happy 2 collection from Creative Memories! As the name suggests, it is the ideal collection for documenting photos of all the fun you have while enjoying this wonderful hobby of ours! Back in 2018, CM released the original Scrap Happy collection with the signature CM icons and blue color, but this version is brighter and even more fun with the inclusion of purples, greens, yellows and oranges! It’s going to work so well with all your photos of scrapbooking crops, retreats and special events – in fact it was perfect to use with my photos from Creative Scrapbooker’s Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival last May! Here are the easy steps to create this scrappy layout: Cut four 5” squares of various tonal papers from the Scrap Happy 2 Paper Pack with the 12-inch Trimmer. Adhere them with Tape Runner Adhesive on a piece of the multi-colored CM Tools paper to form a block in the center. Use the new Scissors Border Punch to punch two border strips from Platinum Shimmer Cardstock and one border from Blue Cardstock*. Use Micro-Tip Scissors to cut the platinum borders into four sets of three. Cut the “handles” off the blue scissor borders and use Repositionable Adhesive to adhere them on top of the platinum scissors – now they look like our CM All-Purpose scissors with the blue handles! Tip: *Of course you can use any color for the handles if you want to customize your scissors! Use the Original Border Maker System with the new Double Rickrack Chain Border Maker Cartridge to create one set of two rickrack borders from the same Blue Cardstock. Cut each strip of rickrack in half to 6” with Micro-Tip Scissors. Create a border around the paper squares mounting a set of three scissors with Foam Squares over the seam between the paper squares and the base page. Add one of the 6” strips of rick rack with Repositionable Adhesive. Repeat on all four sides of the paper squares. Add a 4” square photo to the center of each paper block. I matted mine with a little bit of White Cardstock to help them stand out from the colored paper squares.
To create the title in the center of the layout, use the inside track of the second largest oval template from the Ovals CCS Patterns with the Red Blade to cut out an oval from remaining Blue Cardstock. Mount the oval “Oh Happy Day” sticker on it, and add other stickers such as the scissors, tape runner, CM shutter, and heart to complete the cluster. Mount the title cluster overlapping the photos in the center of the layout with Foam Squares. Add a word sticker and/or a small piece of White Cardstock for journaling as shown in the layout photo.
