Kim Gowdy was very buys this week creating spooky Halloween cards. One of her favourite things to do and you can tell! Check out this card she designed. How gorgeous! Kim designed the background using one of her gel mono prints she created using the Ranger Gel Printing Plate AND Ranger Dina Wakley Media Acrylic Paint. She stamped the Stampers Anonymous stamps on Deli Paper. Using Ranger Archival Ink. She then cut out the pumpkins and with hat and adhered them to the mono print using Ranger Dina Wakley Media Matte Gel Medium. Using Zebra Doodler’z Gel Glitter Pens she outlined all the stamped images. This made the images glitter! You can see it here. Happy Fall Creative Scrapbookers! Does the change of season excite you? I LOVE it! I just wish winter didn’t follow so quickly! This time of year always gets me thinking about Halloween. I get energized from the decorations, costumes, candy and of course Halloween themed scrapbooking and cardmaking products! My card share started with pulling these Stampers Anonymous sets from my stash ~ I love the both! I pulled out all kinds or Ranger Inks and got started with my plan! I stamped my web image onto a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Superstock and embossed with Speckled Egg Embossing Glaze. This gave me a FABULOUS image to resist the Distress Oxide Inks I would be using to create my background. I added several layers of the grungy stamp to the edges with all the colours from the background and also spritzed with water. Using black Archival Ink, I stamped the…
Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Kim here today with a fun camping inspired layout that I hope you’ll enjoy! I am blessed with a craft room and lots of supplies to choose from. That may sound amazing, but honestly at times I think it stalls my creativity, giving me too many choices. On this particular scrapbooking session, I narrowed down my focus and picked a few products to work with, which in turn forces the other stuff out of the wayThe products I choose to work with were, Echo Park’s Little Lumberjack collection, Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Essentials and MultiCraft glitter. I started by adhering 2 sheets of patterned paper together using Glue Dots Adhesive Sheets. Using the die from Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Essentials set, I cut out two pages for my layout. I didn’t stress over which directions the tabs would be. They could have been high or low on…
Kim here with a fun project share using the Stampers Anonymous Merry Misfits stamps! Oh, how I LOVE these little guys! They are PERFECT for Christmas tags! The Misfits just make me smile and take a little stress out of the chaos of Christmas! Along with the Misfit stamps, I also used Ranger’s Simon Hurley Classic Flannel stamp, Distress Oxide Inks and a Shifter stencil! These products ALL play so well together! Have fun adding tags to your Christmas gifts this season! Maybe you could wrap up a Creative Scrapbooker Magazine subscription! Now THAT would be a sweet gift to receive!
Hello and happy May! Kim here with a colourful layout share today using products a from Simple Stories, Impression Obsession, Clearsnap and Glue Dots! I have been emptying my craft room as we are doing some renovations once again on our home. During the tedious job of moving all my craft supplies I came across two photos from our Crop & Cruise vacation from over 10 years ago. This was actually the first time I met team Creative Scrapbooker and have grown some wonderful friendships from this holiday. I wanted my layout to be happy and summery, but needed a simple background as the pictures themselves were “busy”! I opted to build my layout on a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Superstock. I pulled out my Simple Stories’ Hello Summer collection. The colours worked perfectly and the embellishments fit the theme of my photos. I first stamped the background with a…
Seriously! Have you tried foiling yet? I did! I LOVE it… Makes me think of changing the words to Kate Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” song…sing with me! I tried to foil… and I liked it! I think you should try it too, but we’ll let Kate stick to song writing! LOL! Check out these SIMPLE foiled cards! Now, I’ll share some eye candy and explain a bit of what’s going on in each photo. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for joining me on my foil initiation. It’s super fun and honestly easy! Give it a try and share your projects with us!
I LOVE turkey and mashed potatoes as much as the next guy, but the best thing about Thanksgiving is what comes next! Halloween! I have loved Halloween as long as I can remember! I’m not sure why, maybe because I’m an October “baby” and many birthday celebrations were shared with Halloween events or maybe it’s the colours of fall and the chill in the air…time for sweaters, candles and candy! HALLOWEEN DECOR Of course, when my turn came up for this week’s Tuesday with the Team…I knew I would do a Halloween theme! Without further ado, here is the project I worked on! A little Halloween décor to creep up a corner in my house! This diorama was quite easily put together. I had a box from some Christmas cards that I had saved because it was very sturdy and I loved that the cardboard cover had an opening making…
Hello CSM scrapbookers! Kim here, thanks for dropping by the blog to see what I have been up to! Last September; my hubby and I went to Scotland for a wonderful, two-week holiday. I am still in the process of culling through pictures and scrapbooking some of our adventures. The layout I am sharing today uses the gorgeous “transatlantic TRAVEL” collection by Carta Bella. The paper is such beautiful quality and the collection lent itself well to a travel location so rich in history and well…across the Atlantic Ocean! My layout uses patterned paper, journal cards [cut from a 12×12 sheet], stickers and a quote border all from the same collection. I have added a journaling insert behind the photo mat; this also allows an extra photo to be placed on the back of my journaling. I added a touch of water colour to the part of the map [Scotland/England]…
Happy National Scrapbook Day! Kim here with a layout share using products from Wild Whisper Designs, Ranger Inks, Southern Ridge Trading Company and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I loved the ‘Adventure Collection’ from Wild Whisper Designs from the moment I started to see layouts being created with it shared online. It is so well suited for outdoorsy photos! I paired the papers up with some bear photos I had from a few years back! I am really happy with the finished result! I designed and cut my title using my electronic cutting machine and was thrilled that by chance it lined up perfectly with the design of the paper I placed behind for contrast…giving it a bit more visual texture! My journaling was done using a Ranger Ink Dylusions paint pen – you should try them out if you haven’t…I LOVE them! My bear and tree elements are from Southern…
