Have you visited The Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard website lately? You truly need to – especially if you are a stamper. This fantastic company features high quality stamps, ink pads and dies for stampers, card makers, scrapbookers, art journalers etc etc. Education One of things that really sparks my creative juices that this company does is their education program. As you click on a project you are interest in,  located right in their store, underneath the project  a video will often be presented on how they created the card or the products in action. These videos are called Stephanie’s Stamp Pad How-to Video. In this example Stephanie is putting together this super cute birthday card. Here is the video class located right under the project on their website. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YVkDm_aEio After the video there are links to all the products used to create the card. Hello everyone – Vicki Wizniuk here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today I am sharing a layout I created using the brand new Basics Fundamentals papers from Close to My Heart! This summer I got to meet some cousins for the first time, so that was pretty awesome!  I wanted to document that special moment in my life, and I created this layout to do just that. I am loving the new CTMH Heart Border Thin Cuts, which comes with two different metal die borders.  I cut the hearts out from the Basic Fundamentals paper. It added the perfect little detail to my layout.I also used the new CTMH Family Thin Cuts die, along with White Glitter Paper for the title. The embellishments I used on my layout are the new Better Together Complements, and White Pearls. You definitely need to pick up the Basic Fundamentals collection from Close To My…

Today we are looking back to the Summer 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine where Christy Riopel featured the brayer in her regular Tool Junkie column. Using the brayer as her base tool,  she created three very different projects including this gorgeous, yet extremely simple layout of her daughter Brittany.  Christy created the soft ombre effect you can see on the stamped image aswell as on the photo mat behind the gorgeous photo of Brittany using a brayer, Ranger distress inks and a custom blend distress ink pad. The Project The Supplies Stampin’ Up! cardstock and glossy cardstock, Ranger distress ink and custom blend distress ink pad, Impression Obsession stamp, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Sakura Pigma Micron pen. The Step By Steps – In Christy’s Words I used a blank Custom Blend Distress ink pad as my base. Choose three or so colours of Ranger Distress Ink re-inkers. It works…

At the end of every single paper crafting project you will  most certainly find adhesives and yet it is one of the most over looked tools in the industry. Finding the right glue for your projects is just as, if not more important,  than choosing colours and design. If it doesn’t stick, your projects fall apart – giggle giggle. Opening my albums to find something on a layout has fallen off is one of my biggest pet peeves. Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L If you have been a follower or fan of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine – you will know that we have been huge fans of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L from basically the beginning.  You want your project to stick – they got you covered! Coffee Helps by Cathy Caines “Life Happens. Coffee Helps.” This bag of  beans wasn’t always busted open. Oh no.  It’s wasn’t. I finished up my projects using the Stampin’ Up! Coffee Café stamp set and co-ordinating Coffee Cups Framelits die…. … I laid them on the dining counter ready to photograph the next day when the sun rose. And then I saw this…ARGH! My son Jack thought the beans were raisins and had been fiddling around to open the bag. What’s the strangest thing is that he doesn’t like raisins.  He picks them out of the trail mix packages from Costco. But that’s when I noticed the tag. “Life Happens. Coffee Helps.” Exactly. This is it.  Life happens. Coffee is important to me.  I crave it. I drink it black and I like it super hot.  I don’t re-heat because it never tastes right after that.  I like to drink…
