If paper is your #1 organization challenge, scraps are probably #2.  To get you started WATCH this Scrap Management video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYF3h-lUTaI&feature=youtu.be There’s something about throwing scraps away at the end of a project that many of us struggle with. Before I go any further, I want you to answer 1 question – “If you took time to scrapbook a little bit everyday for the rest of your life, would you ever run out of paper?” I suspect the answer was uttered with a little bit of chuckle, a slight head shake, and a “Nnnno.” So, why are you digging through boxes, folders, baskets…of scraps?  Use the paper you have, use the paper you love and stop spending your time searching for a tiny scrap of paper. I’m not saying you should throw away all your scraps, I’m just saying you should be more mindful of the scraps you choose to…

Hi friends! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share a really cool new way to display and showcase your scrapbook pages. If you’re like me, sometimes when you finish a layout you love, you don’t want to put it in an album right away; you want to put it somewhere you can see it and enjoy it! Creative Memories new Wooden Frame Hanger is an awesome way to display your precious pages until you’re ready to tuck them away in your album for safekeeping. The Wooden Frame Hanger is genius in its simplicity…just unscrew the fasteners, slip the edges of your layout in between the two wooden bars and tighten the screws. Then hang it from the decorative gold chain on a nail or hook. (Note that in my photos below, just the top hanger is shown, but it comes with another wooden bar that fastens onto the bottom of…

Can you smell it …. can you feel it ….. ? Fall is here and that means Christmas is right around the corner. Oh, for a card/tag maker this is the “funnest” time of the year. Break out ALL your Christmas stamps and your favorite mediums and create until the reindeer fly. This is what I have started my “Christmas card/tag journey” with, for 2019. I pulled out 3 of my favorite “Art Impressions”,  Christmas sets then pulled out some of my favorite mediums, some paint, fiber, and ribbon. First I stamped and colored my images. Yes, because I love the light fastness of pigment ink I pulled out my “VersaFine” quick-dry pigment ink and stamped the images that I wanted to color. Coloring was easy with my artist quality pencil crayons and I used Gamsol to blend. Now for the tag background …. this was easy & crazy quick!…

Hi Friends and welcome the Creative Scrapbooker Blog today. Its Karan Gerber here to share a Christmas Tag that I designed. I have been thinking of Christmas Projects and put together this Christmas Tag designed on the Time for Home Paper Collection   from Ciao Bella Paper I first of all need to apologize: I know when I often do a post for Creative Scrapbooker, I always have detail and process images for you to see how I created each step, i took images with my mobile and when I went to move them to my computer, I somehow lost them, I tried for hours to recover them but had no luck, so I apologize for that and hope that my description through the steps are ok. Here is my Tag that I put together for you today! I love how it turned out, perfect for a Gift Box I started with…

Art Impressions make stamps full of whimsy and humor that allow me to create individualized cards that leave the recipient with a smile and a giggle.  To create this set of cards I combined the Art Impressions stamp “stress, chaos, and mayhem” (#4158)With Amy Tangerine watercolor paints by American Crafts Simples Stories, “I Am” collection Glue Dots Adhesives Chameleon Detail Pen Here are the details on how I created these cards. Watercolor your lady. Stamp the ‘tired’ lady on watercolor paper with permanent ink. This prevents the ink from bleeding when you wet the paper and add paint. I used Amy Tangerine’s watercolor set to paint my ladies. It has a good assortment of colors that can be mixed to create even more colors. To achieve the graduated watercolor effect I used the wet-on-wet technique. I fill in an area (like the pants) with a thin layer of water. Then I…

Hi everyone! Jill Broadbent with Close To My Heart, here. I am so excited for the opportunity to pop in today and share with you how to put beautiful scrapbook pages and cards together in a snap using the Cut Above® kits that are available through our Craft with Heart™ program. The excuse that I hear most often from people for not scrapbooking is that they simply don’t have the time to do it. Cut Above® layout kits are the response to that genuine concern. Each kit comes with all of the pieces you need to complete two coordinating two-page 12″ x 12″ scrapbook layouts, including pre-printed base pages, pre-cut paper pieces and die-cuts, complementing stickers, and simple assembly instructions. Essentially, all of the cutting has been taken out of the scrapbooking equation, saving you tons of time and allowing you to jump right into the artistic and creative side…

Hello scrappy friends! Tracy here, and today I have a pretty little layout to share featuring Simple Stories, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and an extra-large photo. Here are all of the details. Every once in a while I find a photo that I just love. A beautiful way to showcase photos like these is to print them as 8×12’s. An 8×12 is a full-frame image, the same size ratio as a 4×6. Printing it this size will not only fit perfectly to our 12×12 layouts, but it also won’t crop off any of your image. I used the Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse Collection including patterned paper, chipboard, stickers, and Bits & Pieces. I stuck everything down using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Foam Tape, E-Z Runner Grand, Thin 3D Foam Squares, 3D Foam Squares and Adhesive Dodz. I used any old colour of cardstock at the background, a base for…

Are you someone that makes all the Halloween treat bags? Perhaps you are the co-worker that brings treats for the adults in your office or the awesome mom that brings the coolest treats for all the Brownies? Sometimes I am and sometimes I am not. It always depends on how much time I have. This year Stampin’ Up! is making it pretty easy for me (and you) to bang out several of these treats in plenty of time before Halloween. Check out these coffin boxes by Stampin’ Up! I mean… how fun are these? To create my Halloween coffins, I had limited product to use. Using elements from the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper for the inside and outside of the coffin, I was able to make the coffins come to life. However, once the treats are inside the box you need to hold the coffin together with some trims…
