I am sooooo in the mood for a cocktail somewhere by the sea! LOLOLOL!  So that isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Kerry Engel’s layout is the next best thing! Bright colours, yummy food, and one of my all-time favourite Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz stamp sets. If you don’t have the Cocktails Blueprint stamp set – you need to get it.  Kerry also used a Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Layering Stencil to create the design in the background. It makes the layout look like it’s sparkling! LOVE IT! Off I go to dream of a drink by the sea! Giggle Giggle! Have a wonderful week everyone!

This card by Connie Nichol is not only a GIGGLE maker – it might just be the “sunniest” card EVER!!!!  To create this card Connie laid her Picket Fence Studios stencil down on a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Super Stock. She then applied Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ink to create the sunburst. Using Therm O Web icraft Mixed Media Adhesive she adhered the sequins over the inked design. She then stamped the Picket Fence Studios sentiment and adhered it to the card. Easy Peasy! Connie, you can mail me this card ANYTIME! Happy Sunday everyone!

Hello, my crafty friends! Tiffany Spaulding here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog! Thanks so much for popping by to learn a little about getting your current crafting project organized. If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know one of my mantras is “Go Vertical!”  Usually, I’m talking about paper, vinyl, ink pads, or other craft supplies, but today I want you to apply the Go Vertical strategy to your current crafting project. Why vertical?  In general, vertical: Takes up less space Presents items in a more visible way Allows for easier accessibility Provides a more “mobile” solution One of the things that regularly happen with crafting projects and especially paper crafting projects is that we bury our scissors, rulers, embellishments, etc. which results in the “tap and search” – when we literally tap around all of the items on our workspace hoping to find the…

Hi Friends! If you are like me, crafting is more than a hobby. Crafting is helping me get through this pandemic. Specifically scrapbooking typically helps me zone in on the happy memories. Today’s page shows my daughter and her two friends going to their first dance. At the time I was more excited about it than the girls as I was nostalgic thinking about when I was a tween. It didn’t go exactly as planned – and for that reason, I laughed out loud creating the page. And that. That was just what I needed at that moment. This project began with the Stampin’ Up! In Good Taste 12×12 patterned paper. I am drawn to this paper. It’s super versatile for both memory keeping and card making. Because I am trying to close out my November 2019 scrapbook album, I knew what photos to use. I then began to write…

Okay, I LOVE the Carta Bella Paper Co. En Vogue collection! The soft matte muted colours, the” fashionista” images, the Paris feel, the lipstick, the purses, the dresses, and more! This collection is super playful and really easy to design with! Here is a cute little layout I put together in literally an hour! I also had some fun trying out some new pens. Zebra Sarasa Fine Felt Tip Pens. I used this pen for the journaling and some decorative lines. It was perfect! The final touch – I adhered everything together with a combination of Glue Dots Super Strength Gluetape and All-Purpose Dots to add some dimension here and there. I almost always start a layout by looking at a sketch! Here is the sketch that I based my layout on, designed by Kerry Engel. I turned the sketch on its side. Remember to do that when you are…

Let’s just cut to the chase – 2020 WAS NUTS! Never in a million years did I ever imagine living through a pandemic. It was and still is super surreal. Life-changing. Lesson learning. Thought-provoking. Self-awareness. Are just a few words that come to mind when I reflect on 2020. I can’t stress enough how important it is to document your stories. Your photos. Your words. Your battles. Your victories. Your day to day during life with COVID.  Not sure where to start? The last few issues of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine are a great place to find inspiration to document this moment in time. Here we have galleries of stories, photos, and moments that you shared with us AND you will find even more ideas in the Spring 2021 issue! Here is one of my favourite projects you will find in the Winter 2020 issue designed by Kerry Engel. Her layout…
