Hey there! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here! It’s kind of a Creative Memories tradition that a new Baby collection arrives each Spring, and the new Storytime Collection is so cute that I had to dig out my boys’ baby photos and create some new layouts! What I love about this collection is that everything mix and matches together beautifully and will work for both boy and girl layouts! It features two paper packs, two sticker packs, an embellishment pack, a variety mat card pack, gorgeous album covers, pre-designed refill pages, and even gift box bundles that would be the perfect gif for a new mom! I had two sweet photos of my son Grayson as a newborn that I wanted to feature, and Kerry Engel’s April Sketchy Challenge sketch was perfect to showcase them! I love finding a new sketch from Kerry every month on the CSM Sketchy Challenge Page for…

One lucky winner is going home with their Explorer Collection!!!! YAHOOO! Dare to be adventurous with the Explorer collection! Hi everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share some calligraphy tips with you. Many people who learn lettering with brush pens struggle with connecting strokes to write words. Today I will help you with that issue. I’m using my Dream Pens, my Deluxe lettering kit and my Kelly Creates Grid practice pad. Remember to always use smooth paper with your brush pens, not regular paper, which will damage your brush tips because it’s too rough. Before you start writing words with your brush pens, make sure you have a solid foundation of practicing the basic strokes and individual letters. Then move on to writing short, simple words. The biggest hurdle for many beginners is drawing long exit strokes. If your exit strokes are too short, then you can’t connect the next letter properly, and when you do, it will look crowded. Do you see how my exit strokes stop…

HI Friends and welcome to the Creative Scrapbooker Blog today featuring laser cut shapes. Its Karan Gerber here to host the blog and  I am here to share with you a masculine layout I designed based on the new Laser Cut Frame Sets from 49 and Market with papers from the Bold and Beautiful Collection. When you cut the second sheet, ink the edges with Weathered Wood Distress ink from Ranger. Here is what the frame set looks…

Hello everyone, Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with the Explorer Journal by Momenta. When I first saw this glittery Momenta journal I envisioned a metallic-y, jewel-studded boho book. I was thinking of gold glitter, soft jute, and beach beads. To achieve my boho look I took apart an old necklace to create dangling embellishments and I strung beads on a fishing wire. I tied lots of jute and attached tags that protruded and extended over the sides. The Explorer Journal is made of a heavy, sturdy, leather-like fabric. To embroider on it I pre-punched holes with an awl. I stitched the flowers using the lazy daisy stitch and cotton thread. I learned how to embroider from my Baba (grandmother) way back in the ’70s when boho first was cool. Shiny brads completed my front cover. I wanted to cover up the stitches on the…

Hello everyone, Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with Dare 2B Artzy! While demoing and doing make’n takes in the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine booth in  Dallas at the Stamp & Scrap Expo I had the absolute pleasure to meet Cindy Sartain, owner of Dare 2B Artzy, stamps, dies & stencils. Their booth was directly across from ours &  oh, my goodness …. I fell in love at first sight with her products.  Of course, I had to bring some home to introduce her stamps to my ink 🙂 I have created 2 awesome quick & easy cards using two of her sets and one of her stencils. I kept the techniques so simple & fun that if you follow my articles in the fabulous, quarterly book,  “Creative Scrapbooker Magazine” (you know it is “way” past  “just” a magazine) you will probably know how I  achieved…
