Hey there! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share some ideas for using two fabulous new Paper Packs from Creative Memories – Rustic Manor and Sky & Water. These collections include gorgeous photographic background papers that can be a bit intimidating to use. These amazing collections feature beautifully photographic background papers that include images of water, sky, beaches, clouds, the Northern Lights, trees, foliage, moss, marble, and wood grains. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been a little apprehensive about using these types of papers…I mean, the background images are so lovely, why would you cover them up? On top of that usually, there are no specific embellishments that coordinate with the papers. It always seemed kind of daunting, so I’ve steered clear of these papers in the past. HI Friends, welcome to the Creative Scrapbooker Blog today!  Its Karan Gerber here to host the blog for you today and I have a simple winter, scrapbook layout to share with you using papers from the Kaisercraft Wonderland Paper Collection.   I know sometimes we want to fit as many photos as we can on a layout, but often times we are able to capture a special moment and that photo deserves a full page.  This photo is of my friend’s grandson Boston, I am so grateful she let me scrapbook him. To start off, I used the Wonderland snowfall for my background, cutting out a one-inch frame all the way around and I matted an 11 .75 x 11.75 dark blue cardstock on top. Realizing this color would be too dark for my layout I decided to add another cardstock mat on top of that measuring 11×11. My cut out from the background…

Life is tough sometimes. For those going through hardships, we often don’t know what to say or do. Usually, we can’t do very much besides be there and listen. For those times, a card can be a great way to show love and support. Sympathy cards are never fun to make. I really believe Stampin’ Up! has done a great job finding the words we all want to say in the Beautiful Promenade stamp set. The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper is photographic paper. It’s perfect to create cards quickly. For this particular card, I was going for a vintage floral feel. I distressed the edges of the cardstock first with the open edge of my scissors and then matched the ink with the cardstock sponging over the edges. “Houston, we have a problem” – I accidentally ripped the top of the card while I was distressing and instead of…
