The Plaid booth is a busy, busy place at the Craft & Hobby show. Perhaps most of us think of Plaid for its well-known product:  Mod Podge. Part of this line now includes a dimensional embellishment you can make, called “Mod Melts,” where you fill silicone molds with heated ‘Mod Podge’ glue sticks. Plaid also has a few brands of craft paints that most of you are familiar with:  Delta, FolkArt and Apple Barrel.  These brands also have a huge assortment of stencils. There are lots of fun projects on display! For more product information and inspiring projects, please click HERE and visit the Plaid website.

When to stop and when not to? by Christy Riopel January always makes me a little introspective and I tend to scrapbook more interpersonal stuff this time of year. I created this layout about dealing with the old(er) girl in the mirror these days. SUPPLIES: FabScraps pattened paper and chipboard, Aladine Izink inks distributed by Clearsnap, May Arts ribbon, Impression Obsession stamps, ColorBox Surfacez ink by Clearsnap, Spellbinders dies and Grand Calibur die cutting machine, Dymo Label Maker, Ranger Industries gel pen, Beacon Adhesives. It ended up being an exploration in not just one hard question ( when did I get this old?) but in another unrelated question I often face….. When do I stop? When is enough on a layout? Here is a picture of what It looked like when I first thought it was done.    Not that I was unhappy with it but I just felt it needed more.…

I have been designing classes to share with my local girlfriends; yesterday I completed the kits so for once, it was clean enough for pictures! When we bought our home, my husband offered 1/2 of the rec room for my scrapbooking space! I was shocked! He purchased two 8′ sections of counter top and installed them at one end of the room.  I purchased the paper shelves from my uncle’s shop when he retired; my cousin sold scrapbooking supplies and taught classes there. I have my Mom’s old, solid dining table as my main table and two 8’ folding tables for friends. I have almost 3/4 of the rec room! He has a TV and couch at the other end, not much…
