Today Kelly Klapstein is sharing a really cute birthday card she designed using Creative Memories products. She used the Bright Paper Pack, which has fun, cheerful colours! The cute confetti strip on the left edge is easily punched with the Creative Memories Border Maker System. The balloon and ‘Happy Birthday’ are cut with the Brother ScanNCut. Hi everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today with a card I made for a special friend who is going through a difficult time battling breast cancer. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I thought I would share this card with Canadian Scrapbooker readers. I pulled out my Close To My Heart watercolour supplies and pink cardstock and got busy! Did you know CTMH has all these wonderful products for you to indulge your inner artist? First I used a couple of the pink watercolours to paint the 3 heart balloons. After this dried, I outlined the balloons with a black permanent fine-tipped marker and also drew balloon string words. I wanted to add more pink colour to the plain white background so I brushed some wet watercolour pinks onto a piece of plastic and then pressed the card face down into it to pick up the paints. Today we have Kerry Engel as our Guest Blogger, and she is sharing how she is using up her stash by making something new with something old! I have a confession. I find card making stressful. I’m a scrapbooker. I marvel at the beautiful cards that card-makers create. The meticulous stamping, perfect embossing and amazing colouring… I have trouble thinking without a photograph and yet, I still make cards. Mostly to use up my stash because …I have stash-guilt. I got on a card-roll earlier this summer when my daughter came downstairs and declared, “We are out of cards!” Buying cards just feels wrong when I can make them so I tend to go on a card-making-bender each summer.
