Kim here for a quick post featuring a really FUN die set from Sizzix. It’s their triple, square, flip-it cards die! This is such a great way to make quick, EASY cards that look like you have spent lots of time on! Perfect for any occasion, I think the look can be endless! The set comes with lots of pieces to mix up the look and mat the cards. It is brilliantly simple! All you have to do is think up what papers and embellishments to use! I chose to use 6×6 paper pads from Forever In Time. They were easy to mix and match! Here is the first of three cards I’m sharing, a good any occasion card. I used these fun paper butterflies from Forever In Time! I have come to love them! The next card is a simple birthday card. Look…more of those butterflies! The inside…
Hello everyone! Karen Ellis here! I hope you summer has started on the right foot and you are having a fun and fabulous time with the ones you love — a fun, creative time, of course! I love the summer. I’m sure it’s psychological but I tend to be a little more “relaxed”, find myself noticing the small things and revelling in the simplest of pleasures. I also tend to be a little more adventurous… not just the type of adventurous that would find me on the beach in a swimsuit – the creative kind – taking the time to experiment with my supplies and discovering something new about them. That’s what happened recently to me — I played with a product that’s been in my stash for years that I haven’t had the notion to pull out again until now – Ranger’s Alcohol Inks. I was inspired by a post by…
Good Monday morning everyone! Connie Nichol here with a blog post featuring Sizzix Elegant Flourishes Bigz die, DCWV Coral Couture Paper Stack, Clearsnap Ink and Embossing Powder I am slowly scanning my dad’s 35 mm slides from my childhood, wanting to scrapbook them while I can still remember some of the details, or at least verify them with my parents. The colours and patterns seem to go perfectly with my pictures from the 1970’s and I love that there is a matching cardstock stack. I find the DCWV paper to be so gorgeous that it pretty much stands alone without much embellishment. So, I left the layout very simple, just adding a bit of fussy cutting and some metallic chipboard flourishes. The flourishes were just the perfect touch for this patterned paper. I used the Elegant Flourishes die to die cut some Grafix Chipboard. Since it is a Sizzix Bigz…
Hello Everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share some stamping on a Father’s Day Card. With some wonderful Stampin’ Up! products, I made a really cute card (which my kids will probably give to their Dad! ha ha) These papers are actually a winter collection, but I think they work great for Father’s Day, don’t you? I used this awesome chevron border punch along the bottom of the card base. I just love this Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grunge set and used 3 of the stamps for this card. I stamped this striped piece to layer over the heart with the sentiment, which I hand wrote. I added that teeny jaw clip just because it’s so adorable! I also drew the heart on card stock and cut it out, then stamped the spattered dots on it. Behind the punched chevron border, inside the card base, I stamped these grunge lines:…
Hi everyone! Jodi Wilton here today to share with you a quick card made with FabScraps & Spellbinders! I put these two together because I thought FabScraps, would be a perfect match for the Spellbinders Shapeabilities- Asian Motifs: I started off by cutting a black cardstock base and adding some FabScraps paper, just inside the base. I sewed around the FabScraps paper for some extra detail. I then used the largest die from the Spellbinders Asian Motif with some FabScraps paper, and layered a square to fit just inside it. (I also sewed around this square for extra detail). Finally the Romantic Travel Die Cut book is awesome! I used a luggage tag and added a bit of paper in it and sewed around the luggage tag. I also got out a FabScraps butterfly Chipboard to add to the card. The next step was to adhere the layers…
Hi everyone! Jodi Wilton here today to show a quick celebration card using Core’dintations ColorCore Cardstock and Sizzix Dies. I love having birthday cards at hand, and by combining the fun bright colours of Spotted by Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock and the fun ice cream die by Sizzix- a fun and fast card can be created! Here is the card that I came up with: The card base was also Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock and then added two layers of patterned paper (Carta Bella). I sewed around each piece of patterned paper for extra detail. Finally I cut out the ice cream pieces and the banner. I added some distress ink in a similar colour to each of the pieces to really bring out the spots on the cardstock. Finally I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares to give the ice cream some dimension. Here is another look: Supplies: Core’dinations ColorCore…
Quick Note Cards Brought to you by Magenta Rubber Stamps, White Embossing Powder & Ink … lovely, lovely Clearsnap pigment Ink. by Cathie Allan Yes, I know … the word “quick” and “Cathie inspired ideas” are not two things you usually see together BUT what you don’t know is I do a lot of “quick stamping techniques”, what I don’t usually do is put them in a blog post or put them in my magazine articles. Why … simply cause I love to give you “more” for your stamping buck when you take a class from me or when you execute one of my projects that I publish. I actually love making cards and here I have made “notecards” that literally take me less than 10 minutes from start to finish. One of my fav’s is to simply stamp an image in “frost white” pigment ink and emboss with white…

Hello everyone! It’s Kelly here to share with you a fun Valentine card I designed using DCWV’s new Vintage Collector line. Here are the DCWV products that I used: These new DCWV cards make it so quick and easy to customize your own designs. I started with the card base and then added to the interior. I trimmed this piece of paper from the mat stack to fit inside. I chose this “Love” label from the Vintage Collector Tag Stack and added a piece of May Arts ribbon.. Then I decided to make a pocket for it using the matching Vintage Collector card stock. I drew faux stitching with a ruler around the pocket edges. I cut out the [heart] U image from a piece of paper in the Vintage Collector Mat Stack and adhered it to the centre of the pocket. And that is that! Pretty easy! Now…
