Els Van de Burgt is back on our show creating super cute BonBon boxes with a variety of different products and some super fun and easy to follow techniques. BonBon boxes are the cutest little packages meant to hold party favors or other little treasures! You can fill them with chocolates, candy, sequins, necklaces – you name it! Els walks you through a number of different design ideas to create a variety of different themed boxes. SUPPLIES The base of the Bon Bon box is an Elizabeth Craft Designs die. Run this die through your die cutting machine and you have your box. Elizabeth Craft Designs dies work with most die cutting machines and really do cut like butter. #RememberingChristy – Ombre Effect

Today we are looking back to the Summer 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine where Christy Riopel featured the brayer in her regular Tool Junkie column. Using the brayer as her base tool, she created three very different projects including this gorgeous, yet extremely simple layout of her daughter Brittany. Christy created the soft ombre effect you can see on the stamped image aswell as on the photo mat behind the gorgeous photo of Brittany using a brayer, Ranger distress inks and a custom blend distress ink pad. The Project The Supplies Stampin’ Up! cardstock and glossy cardstock, Ranger distress ink and custom blend distress ink pad, Impression Obsession stamp, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Sakura Pigma Micron pen. Tombow Pens in a Bullet Journal

A new way to organize our lives is taking the creative industry by storm….look out planners, here comes the bullet journal! What is a bullet journal, or ‘bujo’ for short? Essentially it’s a way to organize our daily lives, tracking anything like daily schedules, tasks, or moods or exercise or nutrition….the list (no pun intended) is endless. All you need to start with is a blank notebook, and there are lots to choose from. One of the more popular journals is a Leuchtturm brand, which is a hardcover book with grids or lines or dots. I decided to get a Leuchtturm with a dot grid, and then I went online to learn more. I have wanted to create this layout for some time. This photo was the inspiration. The young man on the left hand side is my Dad, and is you look closely he’s holding a bunny in his ball glove. I am so glad that I waited until I had the Tim Holtz for Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to play with. Here is how I added the rust like colouring to the background and the largest rusty photo mat. I used watercolour paper and Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to create this rust like background. To do this you need a non stick craft mat. Stamp the ink directly onto the craft mat, spray with water and mix with your fingers. Then dip the paper into the ink/water mixture. Dry with a heat gun. Then do the same with the next colour of ink. Dry again with a heat gun. Do the…
