Wild Whisper Designs and the December Sketch

Hello Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout featuring Wild Whisper Designs patterned paper and an elegant Quietfire Design stamped quote. Wild Whisper is a new company out of Calgary Alberta and they design beautiful and unique 12×12 double sided paper collections and paper scrapbooking cards. I had this photograph from a family road trip a few years ago, and the colours from the Wild Whisper Designs collection called ‘Strong and Free’ worked perfectly. The paper has a little bit of a gloss to it and the variety of designs and colous in the collection are very fun to work with! The matching scrapbooking cards would work really well for pocket page type scrapbooking but here I just tucked some of them behind my photo. WIld Whisper also offers some free cut files. HAPPY NEW YEAR Hello and Happy New Year! Kim here for a Tuesday with the Team post! First and foremost, how luck am I to work with such an amazing group of creative souls. I sometimes have to pinch myself! My project today is actually one I worked on in November but did not get a chance to share. In December, my focus quickly went to cards, gift buying and a trip to Mexico. Now it’s time to get back into a creative routine and practice! SIMPLE SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT This simple layout was created using products from Paper House Productions and Tombow. PRODUCT LOVE My layout background was created with two sheets of patterned paper from the Delish 12” Paper Pad covered with the acetate bird sheet. Hello everyone! Nicole Wright here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine creating a fun Christmas tag. Holiday crafting is in full swing and you may have a Christmas tag or two left to create. Today I am sharing this easy resist background for your next Christmas tag or any paper crafting project. Plaid is one of my favourite patterns and it’s even more fun to make your own background. This way you can coordinate any colour you want. It only takes a few easy steps and a lot of inky fingers. Lets get started. Putting Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock card stock through it’s paces with stenciling, embossing, spraying and inking for this tag. Start with the clear embossing powder and stencil to create the resist. Heat dry the spray stain and wipe the extra stain off the embossed pattern. Hello everyone – Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with the Sunset pigment ink petal point collection from Clearsnap. Events …. I love events. I love watching everyone get together as friends to enjoy their hobbies, their passions. At a scrapbooking/papercrafting event the sharing of ideas is amazing. From the moment they unpack their tools and toys, sit down and begin creating the sharing begins. Everyone learns from each other and then there is the classes, the demos, the make’n takes that you can participate in to further the creative experience of the event at the Winnipeg, “Scrapchicks” gone wild event, I taught two classes and did a make’n take in the booth where I taught a fun background technique and they created a Christmas tag using that technique. Hello everyone! Karen Ellis here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today. For my turn on Tuesday’s with the Team, I am happy to share with you a project close to my heart – cards of thanks and remembrance. Some of you may know that I am a reservist member of the Canadian Forces- CIC Branch. I work with our youth Cadet Program. This time of year is very special to me. I am honoured to wear the uniform and support our country’s youth. Last month I attended ScrapFest at the CreativFestival in Toronto with the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. It was a fabulous event that had not only some wonderful paper crafting vendors, but sewing and needlework vendors as well. One of the booths there represented Quilts of Valour – Canada Society. Toil & Trouble by Creative Memories

“Double double, toil & trouble”…. Tim Hortons? Shakespeare?… No, Creative Memories. Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog having double the fun with two layouts and Creative Memories Toil & Trouble Collection. Feeling Punchy The colors in this collection are rich and yummy; teal and orange are so fun for fall. The coordinating cardstock is perfect for punching out embellishments or to use as a base. Creative Memories has some fabulous punches, the pumpkin one just makes me grin. The footprint punch was probably made with beach layouts in mind but I punched out the foot prints on the bottom edge and then placed a black piece of paper behind the cut-out to create some creepy ghost like foot prints. Are you scared??? The fence and pumpkin punches layer nicely. How cute are teal pumpkins? To create more depth I inked all my edges in Ranger vintage photo…

Echo Park Paper Co. Halloween Town

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout and a couple of cards created with Echo Park Paper Co.’s Halloween Town collection. I love scrapbooking photos from when my boys were little and cute. Now, as teenagers, they don’t dress up and go trick or treating any longer and I miss it. Ah well, at least I have memories.Here’s an image of the Halloween town collection – a great variety of Halloween colours and images – they are very versatile and very cute! Step by Step: I was in a triangular sort of mood, so I used a ruler and a pencil to quarter several sheets of patterned paper (just pencil a line from opposite corners and cut out your triangle). I stitched around the edges of each quarter with my Brother sewing machine. Machine stitching only takes a few minutes and it adds a nice touch to your…

Hi everyone. Karen Ellis here. Today is my day on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog to share with you something that I’ve been working on.This weekend my mind, like so many of us, was on Hurricane Irma and the disaster she left in her wake in the Caribbean and the state of Florida. As a survivor of a natural disaster myself (lost my home in a F4 tornado), I know what it is like to lose everything (including friends and neighbours) and what it means to rebuild. I know you all will join me in wishing the survivors the very best, a fast recovery and a quick rebuild from the devastation of Hurricane Irma.
