Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Kim here with a layout share full of warm, tropical vibes! I am just back from a weekend retreat with some of my favourite people. We shared stories, scrapbooking supplies, laughs and great food…there may have been some wine as well. Most of my friends were so productive…I was not. I do not create well at retreats. I know this and I accept this…yet I keep going to them. Why? Because surrounding myself with creative people, ‘my’ people and craft supplies fills up my mojo. These people feed my energy and my soul! I pack supplies knowing they will only be shuffled around and put back when I get home. Today was my day off. Between laundry, tidying and walking the dog I finished this layout. SISTER TIME! Hello everyone – Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Time with those you love is so very precious. The very cool thing about scrapbooking is when we create those memories we can “keep them forever” in a visual form that we get to enjoy the rest of our lives. We DO NOT have to rely on our “less than perfect” memory. PLUS we have the shear joy of living that memory repeatedly not only as we create but every time we take them out to reminisce. So you have been seeing the company Gel Press on our blog and various social medias over the past few months. For those of you that know Gel Press – YAHOOOOO – for those of you who don’t – this blog post is for you. What is Gel Press? Gel Press is a company that produces a variety of products with the focus being their Reusable Gel printing plate. AND it is exactly what it says….a gel like plate that is kinda squishy. LOL! How do you use it? 1. Apply paint or texture paste to the plate using a brayer. 2. Add texture lines or drawings, stamp images, or use stencils. 3. Superhero Shirt Tutorial Hey crafters, Nicole here and I’m back to share these awesome shirts I made for the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival in Calgary this coming weekend. The theme is Super Hero’s! I have been humming and hawing about this for months! I didn’t want a costume and I didn’t want to spend a fortune on shirts I knew I wouldn’t wear again. So I made my own… for $10 in supplies! Lets create stencils using you’re die cuts, paints and a little imagination! Step one buy some shirts and wash them. I grabbed mine at Michaels, $3 each. I picked up this sticky back roll of vinyl stuff at the dollar store, 7ft for $3. One Cricut machine for cutting out letters and speech bubbles. I needed to create a stencil so I removed the images and cut carefully cut the images out with an X-Acto knife. Carefully…
