Hi everyone, Cathie Allan here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog, with a few, bright, spring projects. SPRING is just around the corner and with the days getting longer , the sun shining brighter I just NEEDED to play with some fun bright colors from Clearsnap and some βspring likeβ images from Stampendous. I did not know what I wanted to create so I created 3 projects thinking I would share with you my favorite. Well β¦ I could not decide which one was βmy favoriteβ so I am sharing all 3 projects with you. I have photographed each project separately and posted those photos at the end of this blog.It all began with these rubber stamp images from Stampendous, plus a gorgeous new metal stencil.Media of choice was my Pinwheel Petal Point and re-inkers from Clearsnap, my ColorBox stylus and foam tips and a ColorBox black pigment stamp pad…
Hello everyone β Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with the Sunset pigment ink petal point collection from Clearsnap. Events β¦. I love events. I love watching everyone get together as friends to enjoy their hobbies, their passions. At a scrapbooking/papercrafting event the sharing of ideas is amazing. From the moment they unpack their tools and toys, sit down and begin creating the sharing begins. Everyone learns from each other and then there is the classes, the demos, the makeβn takes that you can participate in to further the creative experience of the event at the Winnipeg, βScrapchicksβ gone wild event, I taught two classes and did a makeβn take in the booth where I taught a fun background technique and they created a Christmas tag using that technique. As I teach, I create with them so I ended up with a βpileβ of tags…

SISTER TIME! Hello everyone – Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Time with those you love is so very precious. The very cool thing about scrapbooking is when we create those memories we can βkeep them foreverβ in a visual form that we get to enjoy the rest of our lives. We DO NOT have to rely on our βless than perfectβ memory. PLUS we have the shear joy of living that memory repeatedly not only as we create but every time we take them out to reminisce.Β My two beautiful daughters were recently together in Mexico for some very special βsister timeβ. My girls have been best friends since they were little and as a mom, I feel very blessed to live their trip through the photos they shared with me. To create this page I used techniques that I will be teaching in one…
HELLO SUMMER! Hey everyone, – Cathie Allan here – thought I would share with you a totally fun and easy card that you can create in the wee hours of the morning. Why? β¦ in the βwee hours of the morning?β β¦.. well, because, it is May 23rd and it is behaving like summer outside so we NEED to spend βsomeβ of our βcrafting timeβ in our gardens and on our deck. Β Β I used totally βdoableβ stamping techniques toΒ create a fun, shape card that βwanted to be a slider cardβ. Β The background was simply stamped using a wonderful solid, daisy stamp from Impression Obsession and two fabulous pigment colors from Clearsnap. Since it was pigment ink, I was able to stamp the darker, Antique Pewter images first and then stamp the lighter, Buttercup images on top of the dark color.Β Pigment ink allows me to do this and I…
YES β¦. my Cathie Allan Position-it has had an upgrade.Β I have loved my Position-it for many years. Loved that it was two tools in one. It was a tool that worked as a positioner, allowing you to place images βexactlyβ where you wanted them on your project AND allowed you to stamp an image, over and over and over again in exactly the same place thus opening up endless possibilities with my favourite art tools, my rubber stamps. Loved that it works on ALL sizes of paper. Loved that it worked with wood mounted rubber stamps, cling rubber stamps AND clear rubber stamps. Sounds amazing right β¦ YES it was and YES β¦. it still IS but now β¦. it allows me to do even more.Β In essence β¦ it simply makes stamping easier and even more βfunnerβ (yes, I know that is not a word (yet) I like…
