Hello and happy May! Kim here with a colourful layout share today using products a from Simple Stories, Impression Obsession, Clearsnap and Glue Dots! I have been emptying my craft room as we are doing some renovations once again on our home. During the tedious job of moving all my craft supplies I came across two photos from our Crop & Cruise vacation from over 10 years ago. This was actually the first time I met team Creative Scrapbooker and have grown some wonderful friendships from this holiday. I wanted my layout to be happy and summery, but needed a simple background as the pictures themselves were “busy”! I opted to build my layout on a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Superstock. Explorer Journal by Momenta with Kerry Engel

Hello everyone, Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with the Explorer Journal by Momenta. When I first saw this glittery Momenta journal I envisioned a metallic-y, jewel-studded boho book. I was thinking of gold glitter, soft jute, and beach beads. To achieve my boho look I took apart an old necklace to create dangling embellishments and I strung beads on a fishing wire. I tied lots of jute and attached tags that protruded and extended over the sides. The Explorer Journal is made of a heavy, sturdy, leather-like fabric. To embroider on it I pre-punched holes with an awl. I stitched the flowers using the lazy daisy stitch and cotton thread. I learned how to embroider from my Baba (grandmother) way back in the ’70s when boho first was cool. Shiny brads completed my front cover. I wanted to cover up the stitches on the…

From Dies to Stamps with Eileen Hull

Hi friends- Eileen Hull here from sunny and warm Virginia! Yesterday it hit 70 degrees out and it seems I caught a touch of spring fever. I decided to make a thank you card in pretty pastels to celebrate spring. Using Dies to Make Stamps I don’t know about you, but nothing makes me happier than finding multiple ways to use my dies. I decided to go through my Thinlits collection and create stamps from some of my favorite elements. I also used a frame shape from the Trinket Box die and was happy that it fit perfectly on the front of an A-2 card! Such a fun way to use your dies.
