When I walked into the Clearsnap booth at CHA, there was a special person there waiting to say Hi! Do you recognize that happy face and wave? Faux Watercolour Loveliness and Pigment Ink Oh, the wonders, versatility and unending twisted ways I can play with pigment ink. I am sharing with you an altered page that is a “jump off” from a class that I taught at CHA in Anaheim in the Clearsnap booth. The class was presented as a shape card but of course what was most important was “not the project” but the ideas and the techniques we used to take white cardstock and turn it into something “marvelous”. Yes, this was white cardstock when I began and those lovely, wispy, very watercolor looking branches in the background have been stamped with ColorBox, pigment ink by Clearsnap. Yes, I am combining my pigment ink with “Top Boss” clear embossing ink so the stamped images have that “watercolor feel”. At times as I am creating this look it is almost like I am erasing the image…

Ever complete a project that when you look at as a completed item, you wonder what took you so long to create it? That’s exactly what I thought when I was finished this tag! I didn’t realize that it would be such a complicated tag when I started, so I didn’t take photos along the way. But I would like to give a little explanation for some of the things I did to create this tag. Supplies Used- Dies and Embossing folder: Sizzix; Inks and Embossing Powder: Clearsnap ColorBox; Patterned Paper: Prima Marketing; Ribbon: May Arts; Metal Leaf; L’adore The background: I embossed some white cardstock with a Sizzix embossing folder, then sprayed it with some Clearsnap ColorBox Spritz Spray (spun sugar). Then I used my brayer to apply some pigment ink over top (Clearsnap ColorBox Old Rose) and heat embossed it. Then I adhered it to a piece…
Hello everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today with an easy watercolour technique you can use on a card or other crafty project. I created this card with a beautiful Magenta stamp, Chameleon Pens, and a Sizzix embossing folder using Canadian Scrapbooker Superstock paper. First, I inked up my Magenta stamp with Clearsnap Colorbox white pigment ink, and stamped and heat embossed onto white Superstock. I wanted a white outline background to colour in. Magenta rubber stamps have gorgeous, intricate details that show up perfectly when stamped! To create a watercolour effect, I took out my set of Chameleon Pens. These alcohol ink pens are amazing! You have all shades or tones of colour in a single pen. So for the yellow petals, I coloured in gradations of yellow because the Chameleon pen allows you to add toner to the pen nib with a couple of easy steps. There’s a LOT…

PRETTY IN ANY COLOUR, INSIDE & OUT. It is an exciting time in and around my house & life. So many things are changing and growing and one of those “things” is not a “thing” it is my wonderful, grandlovely girl, Rianne. She has decided she should become 18 years of age and although I have strived to try to get her to “grow up slower” she simply, did not. I cannot believe that this “very special birthday” of hers got here as quickly as it did. I thought I would share with you “part of her card” that I am preparing for this very special day.
