Check it out, Nicole Wright  here with a promise of spring for Tuesday with the Team!  I wanted to create a lot of texture so why not stamp on canvas.  I created this 5×5 card using a few of my favorite Sizzix dies including the Birch Thinlit die. I used various Sizzix dies to create the foliage including Tattered Pinecone, Layered Leaf and Tattered Leaves. I love inking up these filigree metal leaf charms from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies.  Ranger’s Peeled Paint Distress Paint is perfect for distressing these metal charms. I created my own leaves with watercolor paper and an assortment of Ranger Distress Spray Stains peeled paint, lucky clover and twisted citron. I inked the leaves  with Ranger Distress Inks peeled paint, lucky clover and twisted citron right onto the canvas. The Birch die is cut onto watercolour paper where I inked and blotted with Ranger Distress Inks…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today.  I am so super impressed with the Stampin’ Up! Tin of Cards Project Kit – if you have not seen this and need some gorgeous handmade cards without much fuss, this is perfect!  It also makes the best present!! I had a bit of free time yesterday so I sat down with a cup of tea and unpacked the Tin of Cards Project kit, not really sure what to expect.  Within an hour, I had made sixteen beautiful cards that came with envelopes and a lovely tin to store everything in.  Here are some of them…. The kit comes with 16 card bases and envelopes, assorted die cuts, papers stickers and other embellishments, file tab dividers and instructions  (if you feel like following instructions, that is).  I loved that there were also some German and French sentiments in the tin;  perfect for some of my…

Faux Watercolour Loveliness and Pigment Ink Oh, the wonders, versatility and unending twisted ways I can play with pigment ink. I am sharing with you an altered page that is a “jump off” from a class that I taught at CHA in Anaheim in the Clearsnap booth. The class was presented as a shape card but of course what was most important was “not the project” but the ideas and the techniques we used to take white cardstock and turn it into something “marvelous”. Yes, this was white cardstock when I began and those lovely, wispy, very watercolor looking branches in the background have been stamped with ColorBox, pigment ink by Clearsnap. Yes, I am combining my pigment ink with “Top Boss” clear embossing ink so the stamped images have that “watercolor feel”. At times as I am creating this look it is almost like I am erasing the image…
