Hello everyone – Sally Lynn MacDonald here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. I love art journaling – but I really love capturing memories in my journal. The hardest part about keeping a journal is getting started and that is where I’ve come up with a way of getting past the fear of the blank page and freeing myself to create by monoprinting on the blank pages. My favorite travel journal is a landscape watercolor paper journal. I like this journal for the size of and the type of paper inside the journal. To start, I will choose a color scheme that complements the travel theme but doesn’t overwhelm. These are backgrounds, so they need to be somewhat subtle. For my colors I chose: Golden’s Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold (a sunny color!)
