Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout featuring Momenta cardstock and Art-C texture cream. My youngest played team handball at school this past year and I wanted to scrapbook the photographs the school took of the team. I started with a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock and applied Art-C silver texture cream through an Art-C plastic stencil on both sides of the page. Don’t be shy, just smear that texture cream with a palette knife or an old credit card generously through the stencil. It’s easy to do and just adds such a neat touchable texture to your page. Let dry. It doesn’t take long. I then took a couple of pieces of Momenta cardstock and layered them in the middle of the page. If you have not used this brand of cardstock, you need to go check it out. It’s heavy and beautifully textured and a pleasure…

Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here – I’m late to the Tim Holtz Crazy Bird game. Now I’m slightly addicted. I created a flock of birds and then used them on a variety of project. It’s handy to have a pile of them ready and waiting to add to your projects. Tack one on a card or create a wall hanging like I did. I even have three adhered to a lamp in my studio. How to make a flock: 1. Stamp the birds on Creative Scrapbooker Superstock (or a very sturdy cardstock) with a permanent waterproof black ink. 2. Spread Top Boss Clear Embossing Fluid over the image by pressing the ink pad over the image. Covering your image with Top Boss makes the colored ink blend more smoothly. 3. Apply ink from ColorBox Blends and ColorBox ink. Blend with the Smooch tip. Leave white space to create highlight.…
Hello Everyone! Karen Ellis here, back from a fabulous weekend at ScrapFest in Kitchener, Ontario. Cathie Allan and I taught some “Technique Tasters” in the Creative Scrapbooker booth and I wanted to show you what I taught here. Cause it was Groovin! I, with the help of Art-C, wanted to get the Groove Tool in the hands of our Scrapbookers – have as many people try it out and see for themselves if it’s a tool for them. It’s a fun, hand-held battery operated painting, inking and distressing tool that applies ink and paint to projects with ease! There are 4 different attachments: a brush tool for painting, a foam attachment for inking and two sand paper heads – fine and course for distressing. Pretty Cool! This tool is handy to have everyone’s tool box but those of you who have carpel tunnel or other hand and wrist aches will…

Hello everyone! Kelly Klapstein here to share my layout based on the November Sketchy challenge. Here is the November sketch: This Fall has been so beautiful in Alberta, and I snapped so many photos of the amazing golden colours of trees. I just had to scrap them! The paper collection and leaf die cuts are from Momenta. I used my Sizzix Big Shot to die cut and emboss these pretty leaves. I used Tombow Dual Brush pens to hand letter the title “The Golden Hours” and write the journaling. I also used the Tombow pens to create a watercolour effect on the background, which is Canadian Scrapbooker Superstock. Click HERE to shop for this awesome cardstock…which is super heavy weight and great for all projects. I used some Stampin’ Up! stamps and Clearsnap ColorBox Frost White pigment ink to add a distressed effect to the outer edges of the paper. My…
