Happy New Year! Kim here with a quick layout share! It felt so good to ‘clean up’ Christmas within my house and get back to some routine. By the end of December I have had quite enough of too much food, too much shopping, too much wine, so many events, so many to-dos…this introvert needs to cocoon a bit in January! I managed to find some time to play in my craft room last night! YAH! One thing that has become a ‘thing’ for me is to gather all my Christmas cards and scrapbook/collage bits and parts of them into a layout. It’s a great way to hold on to the sentiments, photos and fun images of the cards from friends and family. It is also a great way to upcycle them into something that will bring us smiles for years to come. It is not in my nature to…
Every year I sit down for a little tag making session! I like to gift my co-workers with a little something fun to take home for Christmas and feel I must include a handmade tag as they all know I am passionate about paper crafts. I want my tags to be simple enough to make in bulk, but with enough details to show I care! I started this tag making session with some shipping tags purchased at Staples. I added a small strip of plaid paper [Echo Park Lumberjack Christmas] and then stamped the gift and branches images [Stampers Anonymous Seasonal Scribbles] with Distress Oxide ink. I coloured and outlined the images with my Nuvo alcohol markers. I choose these markers for two reasons…I LOVE them and they will not reactivate the Distress Oxide ink! A little glitter was added to the gift image with a Nuvo glitter marker. My…
Check out this fabulous Slimline card designed by Kerry Engel. Kerry used the Dylusions Fancy a Cuppa stamp set that is absolutely delightful. Probably one of my all time favourite sets and I am not even a big tea drinker! But seriously, who doesn’t love a cute little tea cup? Am I right or am I right?!?!?!? The images were stamped onto Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock. There is no messing around with this heavy weight cardstock…like the title says…its SUPER! LOLOLKerry stamped the images using Ranger Archival ink. She then coloured the stamped images using Tonic Studios Nuvo Alcohol Markers. For a perfect cut, Kerry cut the images out using her OLFA Craft Kinfe and cutting mat. The background patterned paper is from the Dina Wakley Media Collage Collective journal. All those fabulous enamel and glossy accents were created using a variety of Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops. Everything was adhered…
Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Kim here with another puppy layout…I guarantee more will follow as my new puppy Kona is my current photography muse! I wanted to do some doodling for this layout, it’s a fun layer to the kraft paper I used as my base page! I pounced some gesso through the Dylusions daisy stencil using a makeup sponge. Once the gesso was dry I doodled away using my Zebra CLiCKART pens. Doodling is a fun way to turn off your brain while being creative! I took a page out of my Dylusions journal to use under my photos and as a fun way to document some text: EAT, SLEEP, PLAY! The Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive was perfect for adhering the sequin flowers and my Olfa Knife and Ruler get pulled out throughout the scrapbooking process, I LOVE straight lines and sharp cuts!My PUPPY title was easily made by adding Deco…
