My New Obsession – Simple Stories Card Kits

Okay, I am seriously obsessed with the Simple Stories – Simple Cards Card Kits! They are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and come with EVERYTHING you need to create 8 show-stopping cards! I created this card using the Simple Stories Hello Lovely Card Kit. So here is the story. As a scrapbooker, I can not send bought cards to my friends. I just can’t do it. I feel like I am cheating on my supplies LOLOLOLOLOL. And there are just times when I don’t have a card ready to go – these kits are soooooooooooooooooooooo the answer! Beautiful designs, no scissors necessary, and of course you can add your special touches if you like. All you need is adhesives. And for this card, I used Glue Dots Adhesives Pop-Up! Clocks are HOT!

Okay, maybe they are not HOT! But this layout designed by Kerry Engel certainly is! Do you see that clock on her layout – it is from Southern Ridge Trading Company. Kerry used the Simple Stories Vintage Great Escape collection to put this layout together. She fussy cut all those butterflies out from the patterned paper! WOWZERS! Kerry then glued everything together using Glue Dots Adhesives. This layout has me feeling like it is Tea Latte time!!!! 🙂 Kerry’s layout was published in the Winter issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. To create my wall hanging, I’ve used the Simple Vintage North Pole Collection from Simple Stories Dies and Watercolor Palette from Elizabeth Craft Designs Stamps and Embossing Powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies, Ink from Ranger Ink Adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my wall hanging at home. To start, you’ll need to choose two pieces of patterned paper out of the Simple Vintage North Pole Paper Pack from Simple Stories. From one of the patterned papers, die cut a 4” Stitched Rounded Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out. As the days get shorter, darker, and closer to Christmas, I find myself up in my craft room contemplating Christmas. I don’t have enough cards made and have lost my creative mojo. Like everyone, I’m getting weary of COVID dos and don’ts, but feel strongly about their importance. During these nights in my craft room, I have gotten into watching Lucifer on Netflix! It has been a long time since a series entertained me so much, I am LOVING it! It is easy enough to follow while I play with my supplies, yet I have been pulled into the story! About a week or so ago, I made all kinds of tag bases with my Ranger paints, stencils, and gel plates. Didn’t overthink them, just played and watched TV. It felt good, it felt easy, it felt fun. Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! For today’s blog post, I’m sharing with you my Have a Cozy Day Wall Hanging. To create my wall hanging, I’ve used the Cozy Days Collection from Simple Stories Dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs Ink from Ranger Ink Adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my wall hanging at home. To start, you’ll need the yellow plaid pattern paper out of the Cozy Days Paper Pack from Simple Stories. Die cut the 4 ½” Stitched Fishtails from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the paper. Distress the edges of the fishtail. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need the burgundy/pink dash pattern paper out of the Cozy Days Paper Pack from Simple Stories. Die cut the 4” Stitched Fishtails…

A recipe book! My daughter comes from a long line of people who love to cook, and she is no exception.
