What an ABSOLUTE blast! Crop 4 Kids was held last weekend in Calgary, Alberta.  This is a phenomenal event that raises money for children’s hospitals. If you ever get a chance to go to one – PLEASE do! All the money raised goes to the little people who need it the most! Scrapbooking + helping the future = AWESOME! These events are held right across Canada – so there might just be one happenning near you.

Amongst several activities that are held through out the weekend – one is a layout contest. Here Jennifer Roswell is holding up one of the winners – Lynne Mizera (owner of Scrapbook Lynne’s weekend retreats) Lynne wasn’t there at the time so Jennifer is calling her on the phone to tell her the great news!!!!

 This year Crop 4 Kids organizer, Jennifer Rowsell came up with a brilliantly fun and entertaining event – THE IRON SCRAPBOOKER! This is how it works ….

1. A stash of both traditional and nontraditional scrapbooking supplies was put together.

2. Give these supplies to two amazingly talented, fun, super cool scrapbookers – who just happen to be on the Canadian Scrapbooker team – Leica Forrest and Christy Riopel.

3. Give them an hour to create 3 projects!

4. Over that one hour peroid even the most gentle of scrapbookers turn NASTY!!! Sorry guys – this photo just makes me giggle! Christy and Leica played the parts so well…they really hammmmmmmmed it up! Thanks so much you two for making the event so much fun!
