Step 1: Die Cut and Mask

Die cut several assorted leaves from watercolour paper and cut a mask to match your image size.
Place a few leaves on a Super Stock 12” x 12” paper, layer the mask on the leaves, and spray your lightest Ranger Distress Spray Stain.

Step 2: Add Depth with a Darker Shade

Remove both the mask and leaves. Shift the leaves to a new position and repeat the first step, this time using a slightly darker Ranger Distress Spray Stain. Spray around the edges to enhance the leaf silhouettes.

Step 3: Build Layers of Colour

Reposition your mask and leaves again. Spray with an even darker shade of Ranger Distress Spray Stain to deepen the tones and create a rich, layered background.

Step 4: Finish and Assemble

For the final touch, remove the mask and coat any bare spots on your leaves with Ranger Distress Spray Stain.
Once everything is dry, adhere the leaves to the layer beneath your image, place your photo or focal image, and embellish your layout as desired.
