Since Where you Create falls on Valentine’s Day this week, I thought a bit of pink was neccessray! Peggy Oliver’s room is just what was needed. Her room is filled with storage ideas and creativity…a spot for everything! Here is what she has to say about her creative space!
Hello! My name is Peggy Oliver and I am a mother of three (22, 14 and 4yr old). I live in the very rural, but beautiful town of Sooke, British Columbia. I am very blessed to live on an oceanfront acreage with a salmon bearing river on the property. The wildlife I see on a daily basis inspires my art. I am a stay at home mom who loves mixed media, clay and paper. I also love to make Mini Albums. I have a small bedroom as my workspace. When we moved in last December I had the walls painted pink.
I am very messy I must admit but it cleans up nice though. I am totally frugal (so I can buy more crafty stuff) and a DIY whenever possible.
All of the storage that holds my Copics, inks, ATG gun and paper on my desk are handmade with poster board and chipboard. The peg board was a garage sale deal for $10; including a bag full of pegs.A must for me is organized paper and I love to display it like this so I can easily see. Flea market deal $10.
My Spellbinders are on 12×12 magnet sheets hung by 3M Hooks on the side of my desk.
Behind me I love to display my work and have things looking pretty. Another deal from an online seller, for free, an oak entertainment center to
hold tons of things.
