Friday again! Who doesn’t LOVE a Friday? We have been so trained all of our lives to celebrate Fridays. The end of the work week for most, the start of the weekend. Time to take a big breathe and let the stress of the week leave our body. Here come those two short days that seem to rejuvenate our minds and put smiles on our faces again, making us ready to do it all over again next week! Some of us will be lucky to carve out some scrapbooking time this weekend! Some of us would LOVE to carve out some time in Karen Hach’s creative space! Come take a peek!
I have attached some photos of my creative space, which is sometimes neat and tidy, and sometimes not! I have put a lot of thought into designing this space, so obviously I would love to be featured!
I live in St. Albert, Alberta with my husband and our 4 boys, ages 9, 5 and 2 year old twins. We built a new house last year, so I was very lucky to be able to design my own scrapbook studio!
My room is approximately 15′ x 12′ and consists of built in cabinets and countertops along 2 walls, with a desk area for sewing, Silhouetting, etc.
I also have a higher workspace in the centre of the room (I like to stand and scrap). It is large enough for two people to create at the same time.
There is a tall cupboard for patterned paper storage, sorted by manufacturer. In the upper cabinets, I have all my items sorted (by type) in bins I purchased from the local dollar store.
Around the perimeter of the ceiling, I installed IKEA curtain wire so that I can hang current or favorite layouts to inspire me.
