As I sit here and prepare this week’s WHERE YOU CREATE blog post it feels so fall like. The temperatures in Edmonton have dipped to single digits…Brrrrrrr! I am hopefully when this goes live the temperatures will have crept up to be more seasonal; and this will be a “weather blip” in our past. I am confident we have lots of potential for nicer, autumn days!
BUT! …if the weather is still cool; a visit into Jodi’s craft room will change your mood! Her colourful space will bring back good memories of summer with her gorgeous blues and green!
I have loved reading and seeing the different scrappy rooms on your blog. Since I just completed my own scrap room a couple of months ago, thought I’d submit some pictures to you.
I have a small spare bedroom; 8’ x9’, so needed to be able to utilize the space as best as I can. After six weeks of purging, painting, buying furniture & organizational items; and then putting everything away …I have created my “happy place”.
I love scrapping in my room and even when I don’t have the time, I will still go in there and just look around and smile. It brings me such joy!
It has opened up my creative mojo! I’m scrapbooking more now than I ever have before.
Hope you enjoy!

Love your beautiful room ! The colors are so cheerful a perfect happy place to create !
Wow …. I love it, every bit of it. And I too sometimes go into my scraproom and just smile 🙂 Thanx so much for sharing.
Ha! Like I would send you a photo of my crafting areas. I have an “upper studio” and a “lower studio”. The upper one is a long narrow walk-in closet where I sew, quilt and do beading. A couple of my quilting friends said they were surprised I could work in there seeing as I’m claustrophobic – the door doesn’t close anymore so I’m okay! The “lower studio” is also known as the basement! I have one side of the basement with some mismatched shelves and old office desk where I do scrapbooking, card making, tole painting, mixed media work, and play around with polymer clay and other crafts. Not a very creative space but it’s what I have and I do my best to ignore the washer, dryer, freezer, furnace, hot water tank, etc.
I love your space though! Drool!
You can see any of my creations on my blog: http://www.craftyviolet.blogspot.com
I love your room. Mine is nearly about the same colors.
I will show it later because I just change my scraproom from downstair to a room upstair and I have so much stuff, I’m cleaning and organising a better way right now.
Thanks for sharing! Carmelle
Amazing use of a small space! This room is so beautiful!
Love your little piece of heaven. The colors are wonderful together and I love that desk.
I too go in my scraproom even when I’m not crafting. It’s my room, and only mine. No husband or rabbits allowed!!
