It’s another WHERE YOU CREATE Friday! We have a great space to share with you today with lots of pictures! Terri Kocher has been kind enough to let us in and tell us about her space! Enjoy the view and leave a kind word or two in the messages is you are inclined to do so, we love when you interact with us!
I have recently been laid off of my job as an office manager and have taken up crafting as a hopeful, full-time job. I am a CTMH consultant and am currently developing designs for workshops. I have made a couple of scrap books, but get overwhelmed by what I haven’t done, so I make cards. I love the [almost] instant gratification I get from making cards. I am honoured to be a small part of my client’s special occasions. It makes my heart happy.
When I first started crafting, I used Rubbermaid containers and would craft at the kitchen table. I quickly progressed into a closet downstairs, but the lighting was horrible. My son has flown the coop [It took FOREVER!!] and my daughter has taken over the basement, so I was able to confiscate a room for my very own. It’s my sanctuary. My happy place. My version of heaven.
My craft room is perfect for me. Everything has a place. I bought the Hemnes dresser from IKEA and use it for ribbon storage, misc. goodies, and Cricut cartridges. On top of the dresser is my Big Kick work station. In the two boxes on top (bought from Princess Auto), I store all my dies and embossing folders. I found the shelf at an online garage sale.
My two file cabinets house my 8 1/2 x 11 card stock collections, stamp sets, scrap paper and adhesives. Hubby bought me the printer’s trays on the wall for my single stamps. Of course, my craft room would not be complete without my Stamp-n-Storage ink pad and punch organizer. Everything all within reach but easily hidden when I am not in the craft room.
My room has a little nook, my daughter loved it and it turns out, so do I.
I have my embellishments in canning jars. LOVE!!
The closet is still a work in progress. It’s functional at the moment but needs tweaking for sure.
I have no idea how one person can accumulate so much stuff, oh wait, yes I do!! They keep making such pretty things, and every time I see something pretty, I figure I must be able to make something pretty with it!!

Nice space Terri, I wish my craft room was that tidy.
Beautiful space thanks for sharing your inspiration with us.
Nice space Terri- now can you come over and help organize mine???
Fabulous space! Love it!
What a wonderful room! Having a space to call your own is heavenly! I love your printers boards. I also have two. They are a great place to store all those little treasures. Thanks for sharing your space with us.
Beautiful space! I can see why it’s your happy place! :o)
What an inspirational space. I can see many beautiful paper craft projects being created.
What a lovely space to create in!
So cheerful, lots of room, well organized and great use of space. Wishing I had such a room to gravitate to for fun , relaxation and to create. Enjoy.
I’ve been lucky to have been invited into this space and let me tell you – it’s even better in person! Looks great Terri!
To have such a place to organize would be a dream come true. I would love to build a cabin as my craft retreat. Maybe one day. Beautiful
Hello, your room is lovely. I would really like to know where you got your file cabinets.
Thank you!
Your room is awesome! It’s so nice to have that “special” place to go and be creative. I wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavours.
I love your whole HUGE craft room. I wish I had as much room to craft as you do, I’m jealous, but then again, if I had more room I’d end up with more stuff that I don’t need. I guess my 88 sqft will have to do. I could use a hand in organizing it though?!
Thanks so much for featuring my craft room Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine, I am honoured and humbled by all the great feedback.
I am so grateful for my hubby who supports my obsession, although he doesn’t entirely understand it!
Carol, my file cabinets were purchased from Office Depot many years ago. My intentions are to eventually replace them with another Hermes dresser. I am hoping my hubby will be able to convert the bottom drawer of the eventual dresser into a file drawer to house my 8 1/2 x 11.
And since these photos were taken, I scored a fantastic deal on two 12 x12 paper racks! These racks are on both sides of the dresser now.
My craft room is always a work in progress.
