Hi there, Connie Nichol here today with a couple of projects featuring the new Celebrate die from Elizabeth Craft Designs and designed by Suzanne Cannon. This die is part of the ‘Way with Words’ series and the word ‘Celebrate’ works beautifully for both scrapbooking and card making.
Here’s a scrapbook page featuring the Celebrate die and flourish and exclamation point from the Calligraphic Elements 1 die set. I love being able to add flourishes at will. The calligraphic elements 1 also include a beautiful heart. It’s a very handy set.
The scrapbook page background is a piece of Stampin Up paper from my stash that had the most beautiful and subtle clear embossed musical design. I used a Happy Birthday stamp from Quietfire Design to add just a little bit to the patterned paper with some Colorbox brown chalk ink.
The shimmery squares on the scrapbook page are pink and green Shimmer Sheetz from Elizabeth Craft Designs that I dry embossed with two different ECD (Elizabeth Craft Designs) embossing folders. Shimmer Sheetz are iridescent metallic Mylar, and I love them. You can cut, punch, emboss, sew, colour, or dream of other things to do with these beautiful sheets.
While I had everything out, I also made a quick card. And I do mean quick. Die cut the celebrate die and a handful of small flowers, dry emboss a shimmer sheet and done. The cardstock on this card is the new soft finish cardstock from Elizabeth Craft Designs. It has a velvety texture and is white on one side, coloured on the other. It’s very fun to work with and comes in a selection of luscious colours.
Supplies: Elizabeth Craft Designs Celebrate and flower dies and Soft Finish cardstock, Ladybug Red, Stickles glitter glue
