Hello everyone! It’s my day to hang on our TUEDAY WITH THE TEAM blog post. I really love theses posts as it’s a chance to see what our team is up to without a particular assignment on the plate.

I have been dabbling with mixed media over the past year…I have learned a lot but still have TONS to learn! I swoon over mixed media pages, but it doesn’t come easy to me! I continue to play with products and practice, practice, practice.

Here is a layout I recently completed.

I started with CSM Superstock! This cardstock can stand up to lots of product and it’s a bright white, so colours stay true. I painted a thin, base of Dina Wakley Gesso [Ranger Ink] onto my cardstock, let it dry and started layering products.

I worked with Distress Crayons [Ranger Ink] to lay down some colour, I used stencils [Dylusions and Tim Holtz] to add and remove colour. My new Tim Holtz Splatter Brush made my splats easy to create!

For me, no layout is complete without fun paper and embellishments, Simple Stories “LIFE IN COLOR” collection stepped up to the plate to get the job done. I used the Distress Crayons to colour some of the wood pieces.
