Today we want to show you a brilliant idea for party decor designed by Candace Robichaud, a talented paper crafter from Edmonton, Alberta. Β Candace transformed a miniature cereal box into a festive pinata party Β invitation with a few strips of patterned paper.
How cute is this? Β You can’t wait to open it!
It’s actually pretty simple to make. Β Candace bought some of those individual cold cereal boxes, then took out the cereal and replaced it with a party invitation and some treats. Β She closed the box back up, Β wrapped the box in plain white copy paper and then adhered four strips of fringed patterned paper in an overlapping pattern. Β A bit of pom pom trim around the top serves as the final accent.

You can put a of stuff into a miniature cereal box. Β Think about the possibilities!

Don’t forget to decorate your invitations – Candace printed her invitations onto Bazzill cardstock and then added colourful washi tape and more pom pom trim. Β Beautiful and festive!
Is this not a wonderful inspiring idea for your next party? Β I can picture this in soft pastels for a baby shower…. Β or red and white for a Canada Day party…. Β the possibilities are endless….. Β Β Thank you Candace for sharing your project with us!
(Among other things that keep her super busy, Candace is on the design team at Treasured Memories, a wonderful Edmonton, Alberta scrapbook store. Β If you’re in the area, you can see lots of Candace’s scrapbook projects displayed in the store).
