Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout I created from the BoBunny collection called Petal Lane. The colours are mostly soft pinks and yellows with some striking black and the patterns dominated by flowers and bicycles. It’s gorgeous! Although it’s a feminine colour palette, it works for a lot of other photos too. Here, I used it for my son’s kindergarten class picture.
Here’s an image of the Petal Lane Collection pack.
I was inspired by some small hearts on one of the sheets of patterned paper to add some more hearts with the BoBunny Lots of Love stickable stencil and some BoBunny glitter paste. These stencils are fabulous to use because they don’t move around while you are applying paste. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any yellow glitter paste in my stash, but I used the colour called ‘Sugar’, which is basically clear. After it dried, I coloured it with a Chameleon alcohol ink marker. This is a handy way to customize your glitter paste colours for each project.
You can also use your Chameleon markers to customize the colour of some patterned papers. I coloured several circles from this sheet of paper with yellow and pink and cut them out to tuck under my photo.
After you put everything together, don’t forget to add some hand journaling. My go to journaling pens are from Sakura. These Micron pens are awesome. They are a beautiful black archival ink, permanent and fade resistant, and you get six different sizes of pen nibs in this set. Write things down. It’s amazing how quickly you forget the dates and names of people in the pictures.
