Β Lately I have been feeling un-inspired. I want to be in my craft room but it seems like everything I make, I canβt get quite right. While playing around with the Lift Me Up bundle in the Stampinβ Up! Occasions catalog, I was stamping in black and gold and redβ¦ pretty much every colour of the rainbow. And then I finally used silver embossing powder. BAM. Thatβs all I needed to get the wheels turning.Β I stamped in silver and then I did some die cuts in silver foil.Β I was really impressed how the silver foil Up and Away Thinlet die ran through the Big Shot with ease.Β This particular card has a lightly water coloured background using the tempting turquoise Stampinβ Up! refill ink. The BoBunny booth is always a wonderful experience. Along with scrapbooking and paper crafts, Bobunny has collaborated with Pentart to offer fabulous mixed media products to their line up. Each new line is accompanied by a variety of packaged embellishments, along with 6 x 6 paper pads. We saw 6 new exciting collections! Aryia’s Garden is a line with aΒ vintage colour palette reminiscent of an English rose garden. Petal Lane is another feminine collection with a softer colour palette of pinks and yellows with retro themed patterns and images. Make a Splash is aΒ fun, colorful water themed line that appeals to the kid in all of us. The adorable penguins and electric neon colour combinations are so eye-catching! The one booth that is sure to make you smile at the tradeshow is Art Impressions. Their stamps have hilarious images and cute caricatures of people and animals that will brighten any card or project. And this year AI is celebrating 30 years in business!! 30 years of making people laugh and smile is a pretty good thing. Probably most well-known for their “Girlfriends” line of stamps, the booth was filled with cheerful, samples of cards that were beautifully coloured. Here are a couple of our personal faves: There are newly released “Get Well” themed stamps too: Valentine stamps and cards were also on display and are so sweet! The Chameleon Pens booth is like stepping into a world of magic because of the colourful demos with pens that have wonderful blending possibilities. There was a buzz of excitement becauseΒ Chameleon Pens launched two new productsΒ at the show: Color Tops and Coloring Pencils. The Simple Stories booth is always a fun colourful place to visit. There were 4 new collections on display. Another Disney themed “Say Cheese III” carries on from the previous two lines with a similar colour palette and very popular embellishments, stickers, papers, die cuts, etc. Putting together a Disney album couldn’t be easier! Following the trend of faith-based products, the release of the aptly named “Faith” collection is sure to be well-received. The products from the “Faith” collection can be used for scrapbooking as well as Bible journaling and Off The Page projects. The next collection “Domestic Bliss” has really sweet patterns with a ‘Home Sweet Home’ theme and lends itself well to scrapbooking daily life and moments.
