You’re amazing. And do you know why? Because you made 20 cards in one night. Not only that – they are stunning. You just earned yourself a gold star. All you have to do, is get your hands on the Watercolour Wishes card kit from Stampin’ Up! #watercolourwishesforthewin This kit comes with everything you need – the stamps, the ink, the washi, sequins, wood veneers – even the adhesive and envelopes are included in this swell looking kraft coloured box. The instructions are included in the box as well. Of course, I didn’t do exactly as the instructions noted – I changed the sentiment and added a sequin or two. I made some slight variations but I certainly didn’t sway from the delightful style. Five cards. I swooned over each one after I made them. Another five cards. The skinny navy and white striped washi. I couldn’t get enough.…
Hi Everyone! It’s Lynn Shokoples here today to share a page in my Bible I made featuring the BoBunny Believe Collection. There is also a video tutorial to show how the page came together. I hope you enjoy! So let’s get started For this page I used the 12×12 Patterned Paper from the BoBunny Believe Collection called “Divine”. On one side are fun elements to cut out, but on the flipside are fun black & white flowers . I cut a margin strip from the paper and some extra flowers. I added some color using my Prismacolor and Polychromo Pencil Crayons. For the background I took a Caran D’Ache NeoColor II crayon and used it for a watercolor effect. After it was dried, I used the new Transparent Gel from BoBunny to adhere the strip and the flowers to my bible! The Transparent Gel is a fabulous product. It’s not…
Happy Mother’s Day! We hope you have time this weekend to do take some photos, do some scrapbooking and record those wonderful family memories. The May sketch is up in our Sketchy Gallery ready to inspire you! I was lucky enough to spend some time scrapbooking on National Scrapbook Day and designed 2 layouts based on this sketch. The first one features the Simple Stories “Heart” collection. I did a little brush lettering with the Tombow Fudenosuke soft tip brush pen to add “you have my” to the title. For the second layout, I rotated the sketch a quarter turn clockwise and used Fancy Pants Designs “Me-Ology” collection. I’m trying to scrapbook more photos of myself this year, and the ME-ology line is perfect! I used the Tombow Monotwin to doodle on the layout and add some interest with black lines. The Monotwin has 2 tips of different sizes…
Hello Everyone! I have been having a lot of fun lately with the new Tim Holtz Distress Crayons from Ranger. You might know that I’ve been slightly obsessed with watercolour and creating watercolour effects with different products. So I used the Distress Crayons to design this Mother’s Day card. Here are the Tim Holtz (Ranger) supplies I started with to create the stamped flowers: Distress Watercolor Cardstock, Waterbrush, Collage Brush, Distress Collage Medium, the Distress Crayon (Seedless Preserves). I brushed the Distress Collage Medium on the Distress Watercolor paper using the Collage Brush. Just remember to clean your brush well right after and don’t let the medium dry on it. Let the medium on the paper dry completely and then scribble some distress crayon colour onto it. Why did I add the medium first? I find the Distress Crayons move better and dissolve into a watercolour more easily, but…
“What a beautiful blessing you are to me.” It was perfect. This saying says it all. In eight simple words. I am blessed to have two beautiful women in my life that I can call my mother. My mom and my mother-in-law are beautiful humans that consistently look to the positive. They are rocks under pressure. No matter what problem I bring to them, they make life seem like lollipops and rainbows. They find the answer. They know how to make that pit in your tummy float away. Somehow these two ladies were raised to put one foot in front of the other and survive by looking at their glass half full. I wanted to make them a card that was as beautiful as they are. But I had limited supplies and I had limited creativity. When I have a creativity block, I find it easiest to play…
Hello everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share a special Mother’s Day gift and card you can make using some beautiful BoBunny products. I used the gorgeous “Secret Garden” collection from BoBunny, which has beautiful purple tones with lots of floral images, like roses, lilacs and lavender. This collection is PERFECT for Mother’s Day! When I saw the beautiful piece of paper with the wreath, I knew I was going to hand letter a quote for my mother to express how much she means to me. I first sketched the quote on a scrap piece of paper so I knew where the words would fit into the wreath circle. Then I penciled in the words and followed with drawing them with the new Ranger Dylusions White Linen paint pen. I did the same faux calligraphy on the card with “Happy Mother’s Day.” After I created the faux calligraphy words,…
Hello everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share a couple of projects I made using Chameleon Pens! First is a card I coloured and demonstrated on Periscope last week. You can click HERE to see the blog post with the video tutorial about this card. Did you know that Chameleon Pens has free downloads for colouring on their website PLUS Color Cards you can purchase? I have 2 sets… Flowers and Zen. These Color Cards are so helpful and have pre-made samples inside to show you how to color and shade with the pens. One tip I have is to use that Colorless Blender pen to help smooth the shading and color tones. So in the photo below, I add color gradations of purple to the tulip and then I blend with the Colorless Blender pen. Also, I do not leave the color tip in the chamber for too…
Today on our blog we welcome Lynn Shokoples, who is on the BoBunny Design Team, and loves creating faith-based projects! Hi Everyone! I’m Lynn Shokoples from BoBunny, and today I am here to share a Faith Journal project I am working on, using the BoBunny BELIEVE collection. Faith Journaling has become very popular in the last year. People are journaling their faith in Bibles, Planners, Journals, Cards and in notebooks. In future blog posts, I will be sharing with you a few different ways that I am journaling my faith. Today I am sharing my BoBunny Believe Prayer Journal with you and a video tutorial showing how I put it all together. For my daily prayer journal, I made a little faux dori . For the cover I laminated a sheet of the patterned paper and then started working on the booklets. The booklets were made with the 12×12 patterned…
Here’s the story. My best friend had a baby. In fact, she had her second little girl. Because this was her second, I told her I was planning something special for her instead of more clothes or toys that she didn’t necessarily need. Sounding good so far, right? Well, I planned to create an album using this Project Life ™ kit: Hello Baby by Stampin’ Up! I was going to build her a first year album so that all my Mommy friend had to do was slip those pictures in the slots. I am always full of good ideas but I really don’t know where I think time grows… it sure isn’t on trees. At least not on the kind of trees I have in my backyard. … if you ever find a time tree or better yet a money tree, would you mind sending me a treasure map so…
Hi everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here to share my layout based on our March Sketchy challenge. Here is the sketch: I used the gorgeous paper collection called “Soiree” by BoBunny. These papers are perfect for my daughter’s photo because she adores all things vintage and retro. I used my Brother ScanNCut to create the title, including the hand lettered ‘Hello,’ which is a cut file I designed myself. I also outlined the “Sweet Sixteen” with a Sakura white Gelly Roll pen. This dimensional flower with leaves is from the ScanNCut machine library of images. And the banner is an Impression Obsession stamp that was scanned and cut with the ScanNCut also…. no fussy cutting! I coloured the banners with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Did you know the ScanNCut also has the ability to draw designs? I used the drawing pens feature for the journaling. That little brown gingham…
