Happy Mother’s Day! We hope you have time this weekend to do take some photos, do some scrapbooking and record those wonderful family memories.
The May sketch is up in our Sketchy Gallery ready to inspire you!
I was lucky enough to spend some time scrapbooking on National Scrapbook Day and designed 2 layouts based on this sketch. The first one features the Simple Stories “Heart” collection.
I did a little brush lettering with the Tombow Fudenosuke soft tip brush pen to add “you have my” to the title.
For the second layout, I rotated the sketch a quarter turn clockwise and used Fancy Pants Designs “Me-Ology” collection. I’m trying to scrapbook more photos of myself this year, and the ME-ology line is perfect!
I used the Tombow Monotwin to doodle on the layout and add some interest with black lines. The Monotwin has 2 tips of different sizes and is a permanent marker that I love using!
I think the black doodled outlines really make those flowers pop!
To adhere everything together, I used an assortment of Tombow Adhesives....love these products!
One of the best ways to get those creative scrapbooking ideas going is by using a sketch as a starting point. So click HERE to head over to our Sketchy Gallery and be inspired!
Wishing you all a beautiful day celebrating moms….and Happy Scrapbooking!

Both are beautiful layouts! In the first layoutI love the contrast of the soft colors against the black and white. In the second layout I really like how you outline the flowers….I will have to give that a try one of these days. Have a lovely day. 🙂
