Here’s the story.
My best friend had a baby. In fact, she had her second little girl. Because this was her second, I told her I was planning something special for her instead of more clothes or toys that she didn’t necessarily need. Sounding good so far, right?
Well, I planned to create an album using this Project Life ™ kit: Hello Baby by Stampin’ Up! I was going to build her a first year album so that all my Mommy friend had to do was slip those pictures in the slots.
I am always full of good ideas but I really don’t know where I think time grows… it sure isn’t on trees. At least not on the kind of trees I have in my backyard.
… if you ever find a time tree or better yet a money tree, would you mind sending me a treasure map so I can check it out?
Little Miss Kendall was born on July 14th, 2015…
And here I am just getting around to her gift. Only 8 months later.
The good news for my friend is that most of the work is completed for her.
This little album was completely inspired by the cute little monthly cards in the kit. My friend takes a photo of Kendall every month showing her milestones, so I thought using those photos would be perfect!
Note: Photo credit to their family photographer, Christy Kirkland residing in St. John’s, Newfoundland who took the first two photos within the album.
This album is 7×4 inches. It was created by cutting cardboard for the front and back album cover. The cardboard was then covered with designer series paper, as well as a “Welcome Baby” Project Life™ card. All the page protectors were created by cutting up my 12×12 page protectors (yes, I felt like a bad girl while cutting the plastic.).
I won’t leave you hanging – here’s the album in its entirety.
And yes folks, this album took me 3 hours. You can do it too.
The last couple pages are Project Life™ cards for Mom to fill out. Of course, as Kendall hits her 9 month through 12 month milestones, I’ll ensure the photos are added.
Happy belated day of your birth Kendall! We are all so happy you are here!
Thanks for hanging out with myself and Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Have you created with this kit? Show us how – we want to see your work! Tag us in your photos!
Until next month – have a great start to Spring!

What a wonderful keepsake as usually the first baby has a Baby Book to record all of the first but when the second, third or however many babies come along, there is no time for all the recording. What a great friend to do this as a special gift.
Aren’t you clever! Sweet album. Love the green.
Beautiful!
Omg I love it so much 🙂 thank you!!! It’s beautiful xoxoxo
super sweet Cathy! Love it!
It’s a beautiful album, Cathy!!
WHat a great idea which can b done by anyone if they would just take the time!
Accolades to you!
Well, that was a great introduction into “Project Life”. I was always intimidated by the concept, but I love it and will definitely give it a try! Beautiful keepsake!!!
Lovely! I usually make a brag book for the grandma. And this mini album would be great for this, too!
Loving it!
Hi, I’m going to make one of these for a dear friend and I’m a bit confused on how 12×12 protector sheets were cut down to fit 4×7. How did you seal the open end so that it doesn’t show that it’s glued or anything?
Forgive me if I’m just plain stupid but I can’t figure it out. LOL
