Hello Everyone; Kim here! Just wanted to share some fun cards and a tag I recently made using Art Impressions rubber stamps. It’s no secret among my creative friends that I have adored these whimsical stamps for some time. I LOVE them ALL!
I used the same colour palette for all my projects, as well as Gesso and Crackle Paint on the tag. I applied the ink directly as well as over top of stencils. I literally just sat and played. My colouring was done with Distress Crayons.
For my first card I simply used a stencil and ink for the background design; on white CSM Superstock. I used an Elizabeth Craft Design‘s circle die for my image and mat, added some ink to the edges and a bit of sewing. I adhered my background on some Core’dinations cardstock after sanding it a bit to create more texture. A little bow made from May Arts Twine is the finishing touch it needed.
The perfect sentiment to send to a far-away friend can be found on the inside.
My second card is this silly birthday card. I used one of Art Impression‘s movers and shakers set. Image is coloured with Distress Crayons and the brick wall is made from another Elizabeth Craft Designs‘s die
Inside you find her wobbly “butt”. These just make me laugh. I stamped the image once on the card and then again on a separate piece of paper. I fussy cut the wobbly portion of the image and used an “Action Wobble” for movement and dimension! To see it in action, check out this little video clip!
My third project is this fun tag, a GREAT gift for a friend! I played around a bit more with Ranger Ink‘s gesso, texture paste, stencils to give a more mixed media feel to to the tag. I used my electronic die cutting machine and Photoshop Elements to design and cut a base for my stamp and was so pleased with how easy and well it worked! I popped it up with some foam dots and layered some twine for more texture! I LOVE May Arts Twine…it’s one of my most used supplies!
I like the texture of the Art-C wooden letters and the twine.
Another perfect sentiment stamp! Art Impression does sentiments so well, they always make me smile!
Celebrate your friends with great stamps from Art Impression. They are sure to become favourites!
