I treat myself every month to a monthly kit from Scrap Shotz, an online store based in Calgary, Alberta.Β The kits are great value and areΒ just loaded with all sorts of scrapbook goodies – patterned paper, cardstock, embellishments – lots of fun stuff that I might not necessarily purchase myself, but always goes together beautifully and is really fun to try.Β It totally makes my day when the Scrapshotz box arrives in my super mail.Β The kits are perfect for taking to a crop – they include everything you need except for adhesive! A kit from last fall featured Jillibean Soup’s Cold Avocado Soup line – patterned paper, sticker and die cut sheets, flash cards – along with plenty of other great supplies such as bling, Stickles and WeR Memory Keepers chevron washi tape.Β The colours , rich blue, yellow and teal, in the Avocado Soup line are just…
Hi everyone! Jodi, here today to share with you a Simple Stories double pager that I completed for my project life this year! I love this style of scrapbooking that really captivates the every day moments, and Simple Stories makes it so easy to do this! For my WEEK 6 spread, I used the collection: HOMESPUN. This is the first time I have used Simple Stories for this type of project, and I was amazed at how fast it all came together! Here is the left side: I primarily used their 4 X6 cards and 3 X 4 cards and added some stickers and chipboard for extra detail: I even added some stickers on photos to tell the story more: Here is the right side of the layout: So have you ventured into this type of scrapbooking? I love it! Thanks for letting me share today! Supplies:Β Patterned Paper,…
Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I am sharing a layout I created using a military themed lined of products from FabScraps Materials: FabScraps patterned paper, stickers and chipboard, Clearsnap ink, Beacon 3in1 Adhesive, Dymo tape, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares. I wanted my layout to hint towards the military nature of the Museum we visited so I cut pennant flags from FabScraps paper and arranged them like a soldiers medals. I curled the paper with my fingers to add dimension to the page. I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares to attach the flags so they will stand up from the page. Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone! To see more of Christy’s work visit her blog – Creating a Life I love to Share

Hi everyone! Jodi Wilton here today to show aΒ quick celebration card using CoreβdintationsΒ ColorCore Cardstock and Sizzix Dies.Β I love having birthday cards at hand, and by combining the fun bright colours of Spotted by Coreβdinations ColorCore Cardstock and the fun ice cream die by Sizzix- a fun and fast card can be created!Β Here is the card that I came up with: The card base was also Coreβdinations ColorCore CardstockΒ and then added twoΒ layersΒ of patterned paper (Carta Bella).Β I sewed around each piece of patterned paper for extra detail. Finally I cut out the ice cream pieces and the banner. I added some distress ink in a similar colour to each of the pieces to really bring out the spots on the cardstock.Β Finally I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squaresΒ to give the ice cream some dimension.Β Β Here is another look: Supplies: Coreβdinations ColorCore…
Hello everyone Christy Riopel here on the blog today! I am all about creating layers these days. Stamps are a great way to add layers without adding bulk to your page. This Magenta Crafty Secrets Swirl is one of the most used stamps I own. It so versatile that I have yet to run out of uses for it. I love how it peaks out from under my stickers. Supplies: Magenta stamps, Fancy Pants Designs patterned paper and stickers, May Arts Ribbon, gesso, Clearsnap ColorBox Chalk Ink, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L,Β Photo by Allison Orthner Have a wonderful week everyone! Quick Note Cards Brought to you by Magenta Rubber Stamps, White Embossing Powder & Ink β¦ lovely, lovely Clearsnap pigment Ink. by Cathie Allan Yes, I know β¦ the word βquickβ and βCathie inspired ideasβ are not two things you usually see together BUT what you donβt know is I do a lot of βquick stamping techniquesβ, what I donβt usually do is put them in a blog post or put them in my magazine articles. Why β¦ simply cause I love to give you βmoreβ for your stamping buck when you take a class from me or when you execute one of my projects that I publish.Β I actually love making cards and here I have made βnotecardsβ that literally take me less than 10 minutes from start to finish.Β One of my favβs is to simply stamp an image in βfrost whiteβ pigment ink and emboss with white…
Build β with Frugal Metal Embellishments Featuring Graphic 45 In my house, there always seems to be bits of metal laying around β such as screws, bolts, washers and various other whatnots β picked up from who knows where and brought home because you never know when you might need it. Β LOL.Β Β I was tidying up one day and the metal washers caught my eye as a potential embellishment because they are flat and lightweight.Β I repurposed most of the washers on this layout from my husbandβs stash, but they are also very inexpensive to purchase at a hardware store, usually about 15 cents each depending upon the size. The Typography collection from Graphic 45 was perfect for this layout.Β It is simply gorgeous. I used my favourite chalk ink in βBlackbirdβ and a foam applicator by Clearsnap to smudge the edges of the layout in black and give…
