Hi there, Connie Nichol here today with a bright and colourful layout featuring one big photo and some strips of CTMH cardstock. I love this cardstock – it is smooth and just the right weight for electronic die cutting and card making and has a white core, meaning it looks stunning when dry embossed or distressed. Anyway, I had bits and scraps left over from other projects lying around, most of it from the Whimsy cardstock line, and they make an absolutely perfect background for this photo of my son in front of a height chart. The inspiration for this layout totally came from the photograph. I simply mimicked the coloured stripes on the height sign with strips of similarly coloured cardstock. Tto dress up the cardstock a little bit, I punched some little cloud shapes out of the same colour of cardstock on a few of the rows…
Hi everyone! It’s Kelly here, feeling a bit panicked now that Christmas is quickly approaching. I always make a handful of cards at this time of year for those special people in my life (and when you receive one, I guess you will now know you’re ‘special’) Since I am totally obsessed with lettering and watercolors, I thought I would combine the two for my card. This is an easy no-fail design that anyone can replicate. The new Spectrum Noir Sparkle brush pens distributed by Canuck Crafts should be on your wish list. They come in gorgeous colour sets and are water-based AND have glitter! How perfect for a Christmas card! I actually used a set called “Winter Warmers” with the red, blue and green colours, plus a black Sparkle pen for the hanging strings and writing “Be Merry.” The paper that works beautifully for this technique is the Spectrum Aqua…
Hi Everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here to share with you some fun ways to use the Brother™ ScanNCut when designing your scrapbook layout. SUPPLIES: Brother ScanNCut, Bo Bunny patterned paper, Core’dinations ColorCore cardstock, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Hearts, Clearsnap red glitter. Here is my take on May Sketchy Challenge. Aren’t these Bo Bunny papers adorable? This collection is called “Happy Tails”. When I saw them I knew I had to make a scrapbook layout of our new puppy Finnigan! To create that background of red hearts, I designed a stencil with my Brother™ ScanNCut machine. I also designed the “Puppy Love” title with the ScanNCut and Core’dinations Colorcore Cardstock. If you’d like to watch another video that shows how I created the stencil heart background, click HERE to visit my blog. On my blog I also have the free cutting file of this…
One of the most colourful booths at CHA was Bazzill Basics Paper, with their incredible rainbow of card stock on display! The theme of the booth was 1950’s, with a red convertible car right on the tradeshow floor and a real jukebox standing nearby. FUN! There were 3 newly released patterned paper collections on display as well. “Vintage Lace” is a pretty pink and green floral palette reminiscent of a country garden. “Worldwide” is perfect for scrapping travel and trips, while “The Adventures Of” is a fun bright collection of retro primary colours with boyish charm. There were wonderful layouts on display. Bazzill Basics Paper is more than just card stock! Click HERE to visit their website and find their full range of products.
