Last summer, I first attended CHA in Las Vegas and was astonished by the Sizzix booth….the displays, the projects…so much eye candy! This winter tradeshow was the same experience with Sizzix showcasing an incredible and vast assortment of products and crafts.
The really cool thing about the Sizzix displays are how artfully the products (dies) are staged with craft projects and overall decor.
The new Tim Holtz Alterations dies are wonderful to behold, with a combination of die cutting and embossing paper crafts…
There are also an assortment of new border dies and project samples that feature them…
…along with the new Bigz dies.
That is only the Tim Holtz line! There are wonderful other collections by their other designers. “Susan’s Garden” is an entire line of dies designed to recreate perfect and realistic 3D flowers. I had a nice chat with Susan about how her early years of gardening with her grandmother inspired her to create this line of dies for paper crafting.
Don’t these flowers look REAL?!?
Stephanie Barnard has a fantastic line as well; perhaps the most well-known dies for card making is her “Pop N Cuts” collection.
An exciting new collection of dies are Stephanie’s “Triplits”- die sets of 3 that combine to create shapes that mix, match, layer or stack and are available in banner, hexagon, butterfly, flower, heart, bee and leaf designs, some of which are shown below.
Sizzix has also released new “Thinlits”
Brenda Walton has designed wonderful new die sets too.
A fun and funky new display that appeals to the teen crafter showcases the vibrant and playful designer Marisa Pawelko.
This display featured the new smaller die cutting machine “Sophisticut”, a stylish purse design with a 3″ opening to accommodate small, medium and border-sized Sizzix Originals dies. Among the other conveniences are a one-press door release, fold-out working platform and a pair of Standard Cutting Pads to create charming shapes for appliqué, home décor, fashion, jewelry, cardmaking and more.
I don’t know about you, but my teenage daughters would love to get their hands on this baby! FUN!!!
Actually, I’d like to get MY hands on ALL of these Sizzix goodies! You can see even more products from Sizzix by visiting their website HERE.
