Recently, Stampin’ Up! has joined forces with Becky Higgins to develop an amazing Project Life by Stampin’ Up! product line. These exclusive products include items such as the 4×6, 4×4, and 3×4 cards, embellishments, alphas, stamp sets, punches, framelits and more. I am here to show you why Project Life can work for you!
Many people find that the Project Life system helps them create beautiful scrapbook pages without spending hours on a single page. Although, I believe this is very true, it isn’t why I love it… I adore traditional scrapbooking because I feel like the page is my piece of art – my canvas. However, there are times when I simply have too many photos. For example, I take a huge amount of pictures during family events as I try to annoy everyone as much as humanly possible capture special moments with family and friends. These are the events where I believe Project Life helped me document my memories how I want them… (with lots of pictures) Try not to get caught up in the fact that you don’t create pages every week – its not about that. It’s about making it work for you!
These layouts document a road trip I had with my family, which I no doubt will always remember. I added the use of doilies, stitching and stamps. The stamps are all part of one of three exclusive stamp sets created in this PLxSU line.
In addition, I used ribbon to create a ‘tab’ indicating to the reader to pull so that they can read the journaling on the other side.
Whether you use this style of scrapbooking or not, it’s worth it to give it a try as it definitely can add a fun flavour to your albums.
I am excited to announce that Stampin’ Up! and Becky Higgins are warming up to play Hide & Seek with their Project Life kits. During the month of August, Stampin’ Up! will announce the locations of kits hidden all over North America to be found by YOU! Stay tuned to Canadian Scrabooker and my social media to find out how!
