Hi there! I’m Noreen and I’m thrilled to be here today as a guest blogger! I was introduced to scrapbooking at a Creative Memories home party waaaaaay back in 2001 and have been hooked ever since. I became a Creative Memories advisor in 2005 and have enjoyed helping lots and lots of women organize and share their photos. I also love helping people inject a little creativity into all their papercrafting projects!
Today I’m happy to share a few project ideas featuring new products that were released by Creative Memories this month. The Mi Amor collection features Paper, Embellishments and Stickers that are perfect to celebrate all kinds of love – romantic love, love of family & friends, and even love of pets, home or favorite hobbies. I love the sophisticated designs and rich colors – cranberry, black and white. Of course Mi Amor is the perfect collection to create all types of Valentine’s Cards!
The first card I made came together very quickly and easily. I cut a standard 8.5 x 5.5 card base from red cardstock and folded it in half. I added a 2” x 4.25” strip of black and white houndstooth patterned paper and several stickers. Then I added a few adhesive gemstones from the Christmas Past Embellishments Pack for a little extra sparkle and shine!
Here’s the Mi Amor Collection – isn’t it beautiful?
If you know Creative Memories you know they have wonderful, versatile, durable tools. In fact, I have punches from 2001 that I still use on a regular basis! The Original Border Maker System has achieved almost cult status, and CM releases new cartridges every month or so for those of us who are addicted to it. I was itching to play with the new Scalloped Dots Border Maker Cartridge and the new Embossed Trio Button Punch to create another Valentine’s card.
For my second card I used another standard card base, and layered 5.5” wide strips punched from black cardstock and various Mi Amor papers with the border cartridge on top of it. I added a sticker strip with the “Happy Valentine’s Day” message for an easy sentiment. Then I punched several hearts with new embossed button punch and strung them on a piece of red and white baker’s twine (from Michael’s) to form a banner across the top of the card. I added one more bit of texture by running my scissors along the edge of the black cardstock to rough it up. I love the visual variety of this card!
If you are interested in Creative Memories and don’t have an advisor, the products featured here are available on my CM website. You can also drop by my Blog, Facebook Group, YouTube Channel, or my Instagram feed for more ideas and inspiration – I create monthly sketches for Layouts and Cards and showcase new Creative Memories products and tools on a regular basis. And if you live in the Calgary area I invite you to join me for a Crop, Workshop or Weekend Retreat and get even more ideas!
Thanks again to Creative Scrapbooker Magazine for having me today!
Happy Scrapping!
Noreen

Sweet cards !
Love creative memories…I am using my original tools that are at least 15 years old. The only disappointment was the 12 inch cutter as it cuts crooked and i had to get something different.
