Hi everyone! Noreen Smith here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com to share a not-too-spooky Halloween layout along with some cut files that I created for you today! I’m using the Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Paper Pack and Stickers from Creative Memories which feature iconic fall colors and patterns with hints of Halloween. They are perfect for photos from the Pumpkin Patch, corn maze, bobbing for apples, Jack-O-Lantern Carving, Halloween costumes and parties, and of course, all things Pumpkin Spice! You might remember that last May I designed a Sunburst cut file to share with you, and I decided to take a spooky spin on it and turn it into a spider web! The rays of the sun became the radials of the web and I added the curved spirals in between to create a web that can be cut on any electronic cutting device! And what’s a web without a spider? Inspired by…

Each and every week, we look back in time and remember the beautiful art of our late friend and colleague Christy Riopel. Christy’s designs are timeless. So many of her creations from way back when continue to inspire us today. This week we are looking back to the Winter 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. This was the last article that Christy wrote for our magazine. Christy was probably one of the most organized people I knew. She had her articles ready to go at the beginning of August and shortly after passed away. We ran her article and then decided to retire it in her honor. This Tool Junkie article was all about using Creative Memories border punches. Here is the last project that Christy designed in her beautiful creative life. It will always be a very special layout for me. Christy used the grass border punch on the…

Hey! Kim here with a quick layout share! Before our summer holidays, I got my hands on the Maritime Collection by Creative Memories. I knew I would have some Nova Scotia memories that would play perfectly with this collection of beautiful papers. The colour palette has a soft hazy vibe to it, I love it! My layout simply layers papers, journal cards, stickers and border die cuts; all from the collection. I edged my papers and embellishments with Ranger Distress Ink before adhering them down. A few Wild Whisper aqua sequins were added to the wave die cut border for some added dimension and pop of colour. My little cluster of embellishments are stickers and part of a die cut border that is part of the Maritime collection. I added a few Wild Whisper sequin leaves to give the feel of sunlight hitting the seaweed…it often shimmers in the sun!…

Hello, friends Noreen Smith here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog! It seems that fall has arrived, and so has a beautiful autumnal collection from Creative Memories – “Gather Together”. This elegant collection with its rich colors and gorgeous floral and geometric patterns will work so well with fall-themed photos from Thanksgiving, family gatherings, fall road trips, autumn foliage and good times with friends.  I knew this collection would be perfect to showcase family photos we had taken a couple of years ago on a beautiful fall day, but before I jump right to the layouts I want to share some tips with you. I just got back from a Creative Memories mini-conference for advisors where I spoke about some creative approaches to using sketches. Sketches are a great starting point and are so versatile. I create lots of sketches, but I also rely on them to jumpstart my…

Hey, Creative Scrapbooker fans Katelyn Grosart here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. I am here to share with you a fun summer themed scrapbook layout featuring the Creative Memories Maritime Collection. The jumping off point for my layout was using the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine August Sketch. With the sketch in hand I set off to create my Galiano Scrapbook Layout which features the Maritime Collection from Creative Memories, Blackboard Alphabet Die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Ink from Ranger Ink and adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite summer beverage as I share with you how to recreate my layout at home. To start, you’ll need both pieces of the wood paper out of the Maritime Collection Designer Paper Pack from Creative Memories. One piece will stay as a full 12×12 piece. The other piece needs to be cut down…

Hello everyone Noreen Smith here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Although the summer is winding down, we are still enjoying the great weather and all the beautiful produce that is ripe and ready to eat! I’m not the best gardener but my strawberry plants have been so fruitful (pun intended!) this year, and we have been eating bowlful after delicious bowlful of them! The Creative Memories Locally Grown Collection that was released last month by Creative Memories is perfect for documenting this year’s bountiful harvest – just in case next year’s crop isn’t so great! The Creative Memories  Locally Grown Paper Pack and Stickers are full of bright colors and patterns that will work beautifully with photos of backyard gardens, trips to the farmers market, BBQ’s and picnics and lots of other summer celebrations. I used several of the papers to create this single page layout showcasing a few photos of…

Hi everyone! Noreen Smith here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com with a double page sketch for you! I had so much fun with this sketch that I couldn’t just make one layout based on it…I had to make three! And I was happy to use three of the newest new paper collections from Creative Memories – Oh, Canada!, Star-Spangled and Brave – to do so. All three of these fantastic paper packs are perfect to use during the summer months to celebrate upcoming patriotic holidays, summer picnics and BBQs, camping and outdoor adventures, and heroes of every kind!I love creating simple and versatile layouts that I call “1-2-3 layouts” because they use just one piece of double-sided patterned paper, two pieces of cardstock or album pages for the base and are made with just three cuts. Here’s the sketch:And here’s the cutting guide:It’s sooo easy and quick– cut your double sided 12” x…

Happy Tuesday! Kim here with a fun Aloha layout I finished up not too long ago. Do you ever find a collection of papers and embellishments and immediately know what photo[s] you would use with it? I LOVE when that happens, because that’s a big part of the creative process taken care of…sometimes the hardest! This was just the case when I saw the Sun-Kissed collection from Creative Memories! We were fortunate to get to Hawaii for the very first time in February…this paper pack and matching embellishments screamed ALOHA to me! I instantly knew what I wanted to do with this layout, so it came together quite quick…which is so not my norm! I started out with a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Superstock, my favourite base to work on. It’s 110lb cardstock and is a wonderful sturdy base to layer on. I trimmed it down so that I could…
