Creative Memories Riveting Collection

SPRING is in the air and that means – RENOS! Check out this fabulous Home Improvement layout that Noreen Smith designed featuring the Creative Memories Riveting Collection.
Here are the basic step-by-steps

Cut a 3.5″ × 6″ rectangle from the Riveting light woodgrain paper. Use a pen and ruler to mark 2″ down from the top on either side of the rectangle, and 1″ in from either side along the bottom edge of the rectangle.
Place the paper rectangle on the 13″ × 13″ Cutting Mat. Align the top of the largest Rectangle Custom Cutting System Patterns template with the 2″ mark, and the side of the template with the 1″ mark. Place the red blade in the template track, press down, and move the blade along the template to cut out the paper shape as shown. Repeat on the opposite side of the rectangle to create the paintbrush handle.
Use the Two-Way Corner Rounder to round both corners of the paintbrush handle. Use the Handheld 1-Hole Punch to punch a hole in the centre of the handle.
Cut a 3.5″ × 1″ strip of Platinum Solid Core Paper and a 3.5″ × 3.5″ square from the dark brown woodgrain paper. Remove the Straight Blade on the 12″ Trimmer and insert the Victorian Blade. Cut a small piece from one end of the 3.5″ dark brown woodgrain square to create a jagged edge that mimics the bristles of a paintbrush.
Assemble the paintbrush by adhering the platinum strip along the top edge of the handle, and the brown square behind the handle. Draw lines on the brown woodgrain pattern to create the look of individual bristles.

6. Cut a 3.5″ × 9.5″ piece of striped paper. Adhere it behind the paintbrush to mimic some paint! Adhere both to layout, trimming off any excess paper that overhangs the edge of the base page. Add photos, embellishments, and journaling as shown or desired.
