Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here sharing a layout featuring Creative Memories new Happy Camper Collection! The colors, patterns, icons and sayings in this rustic but whimsical collection will be great for capturing all your summer campsite memories and other outdoor adventures! When I was going through boxes of old photos from my parent’s home recently, I found some “vintage” photos of me heading off to Girl Guide Camp laden down with a huge backpack. I remember that I was NOT a happy camper at the time as the backpack weighed more than I did, but I do remember that I had a great time at camp! It was fun to use these photos along with the cute Happy Camper Stickers and Embellishments on this layout. Using one of the two woodgrain papers from the Happy Camper Paper Pack as my base, I layered a 4” x 10.5” strip of the striped…

Hey there! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com and I’m happy to be here to share my take on Kerry Engel’s fun June Sketch using some of the new Botanical Burst Collection from Creative Memories. This pretty mix-and match collection offers four paper packs and four embellishment packs in Blue, Pinks, Greens and Yellows, so there’s bound to be a match for almost any photos that you’re scrapping! When I saw Kerry’s sketch, I loved the look of the large half circle in the background with photos off to the side.  I used my Jumbo Circle with the Blue Blade from the Custom Cutting System to cut a large circle from the green leaf patterned paper from the Botanical Burst Green Paper Pack. (*You could also use the new Circle Cutter which cuts and draws circles from 3” to 11.75”. This new tool was so hot that it is out of stock…

Hi there! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share a layout featuring a favorite saying and sweet photos of my son Grayson when he was just a chubby little guy! I used Creative Memories “Outta This World” Collection which is a kid’s space-themed collection for this layout. The combination of bright and pastel tones will work for layouts featuring all your little astronauts’ adventures! The Stickers and Foiled Embellishments are so whimsical and fun, and when I saw the “I Love You to the Moon and Back” word sticker I knew I wanted to use it on a layout for Grayson’s baby album. I vividly remember reading the sweet little book “Guess How Much I Love You?” to him when he was a baby, and for me (like so many parents!) the phrase “I love you to the moon and back” was an everyday expression of the boundless love I felt…

Hi friends! Noreen here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com to share an idea for using your scrapbook supplies to create a simple but lovely “Farmhouse Chic” décor piece! When I saw the new Homestead Collection from Creative Memories, I immediately noticed how much it reflects the ongoing “Farmhouse Chic” trend in home design and started to think about ways I could incorporate some parts of the collection into décor pieces for my own home. The Homestead Paper Pack is full of lovely botanical, plaid and textured papers that seem right at home in a cozy farmhouse, the coordinating Variety Mat Pack is full of wonderful sayings and quotes, and the intricate Laser-Cut Embellishments are thick and sturdy, and perfect for using on crafting projects! I have a little shelf in our powder room that I like to display seasonal and holiday décor on, so I wanted to create a homey little accent piece…

Hi friends! Noreen here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com to share a fun scrapbook layout featuring the new Staycation Collection and Dine Border Punch from Creative Memories! Staycation is a collection that celebrates staying close to home and enjoying all that our local area has to offer and it’s perfect for all the photos of family nights, baking sessions, backyard parties, and virtual celebrations that we have all experienced over the past year! And the Dine Border Punch is so much fun to documents family dinners, BBQs, take-out meals, or anything else having to do with FOOD! To create this layout, punch two borders with the Dine Border Punch from the kraft-colored patterned paper in the Staycation Paper Pack. Mount them onto two strips of green arrow paper with Repositionable Adhesive. TIP: Repositionable Adhesive is awesome for adhering detailed borders as the tiny dots of adhesive only stick to the paper! Cut…

Hi friends! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share a single-page scrapbook layout featuring a brand-new collection by Creative Memories – Emerald Gemstone! This stunning collection is inspired by the wonders of nature and features patterns such as starry night skies, aurora borealis, bold leaves, peacock “eyespots,” mineral deposits, water droplets, crystals, and watercolour washes in a radiant palette of navy and royal blue, teal, white, emerald green and touches of yellow-green. There is a Patterned Paper Pack, a Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack, Stickers, Variety Mat Cards, and Laser-Cut Borders in the collection, as well as a gorgeous Album and Fast2Fab Pages, and I knew it would be perfect to use with some photos of a beautiful river valley and waterfalls from Kananaskis Provincial Park here in Alberta. I also wanted to use the new Gemstone Border Maker Cartridge as its unique shape works well to highlight and repeat the jagged shapes…

Happy Holidays! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share a couple of whimsical (and super easy) Christmas cards with you! You might remember that we made up the Creative Memories Holly Jolly Card Kit together during this Facebook Live on the CSM Facebook Page way back in August, and after I made them I thought I had all the cards I needed. BUT, when I saw these adorable die-cut Embellishments and fun Christmas Paper Pack from the Creative Memories Christmas Spirit Collection, I couldn’t resist playing around and creating a few more! Let me show you how to make these fun and festive cards. For the Snowman card you’ll need: a standard size card base (8.5” x 5.5”) cut from Scarlet Cardstock a piece of White Cardstock cut to 4” x 5.25” a piece of Red and Green Striped Christmas Spirit Paper cut to 4” x 5.25” Snowman, Tree, The Magic…

Hi! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here with a post-Thanksgiving Layout featuring the ThankFULL Theme Pack from Creative Memories! I know I’ve said it before, but I love Theme Packs: they’ve got plenty of supplies to create a few thematic layouts, but not so many that you have leftovers like you would from a full collection. They are available for lots of different themes and occasions, and the price point can’t be beat – just $12.00 (CA) for four sheets of double sided paper, one sheet of coordinating cardstock plus sticker embellishments! ThankFULL was one of the first Theme Packs Creative Memories introduced last fall, but it’s still one of my favorites with its slightly non-traditional colour scheme, cute stickers and great cut-apart sheet! I used photos from last Thanksgiving for this pretty layout, choosing one 6” x 4” and printing two other landscape photos in 4” x 3” size. I…

Hello! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share some ideas, tips and tricks for using simple tools to create a fun, custom layout! We scrapbookers and papercrafters love, love, love our tools and are always excited to try out the latest and greatest, but it can be very satisfying to get back to basics and create with simple tools like stencils or templates, scissors and pens. I had lots of fun using the Apple Recipe Template, Hello, Autumn Journal Template, Micro-Tip Scissors, Navy Dual-Tip Pen,  Alphabet Stamp Kit System and Celebrations Title Stamp along with the lovely Hello, Autumn Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack to create an apple-themed layout! Here’s how to make it: First, trace the outside edge of the apple on the Apple Recipe Template onto the rich Crimson Cardstock and cut it out with the Micro-Tip Scissors. Trace the leaf and stem shape onto the neutral monochromatic and green…
