Hello! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here today with my take on the June Sketchy Gallery sketch using two new tools from Creative Memories along with the brand new Vitamin Sea Collection. I love the tropical vibe of this collection and how it worked with my photos from a trip to Jamaica. I was excited to see that Kerry Engel’s June sketch called for four photos divided by three lines. Rotating a sketch is one of my tried and true methods of making a sketch work for me, and I thought that by rotating the sketch 90 degrees counterclockwise, I could use borders punched with Creative Memories new Seashells Border Punch and the Kissing Fish Chain Border Maker Cartridge to create the “lines” between, above and below my photos. To create the layout, I started with a base of Leaf Green Cardstock and added a layer of turquoise stylized wave patterned paper…

Hi there! I’m Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com and I’m happy to share a travel-themed layout with you today. Even though things may slowly be starting to open and move towards “getting back to normal” where you live, most of us will still not be able to travel too far from home in the near future. Thankfully we can document and relive our past travel adventures using Creative Memories products that feature three distinct travel themes – Planes, Automobiles and Trains. I enjoyed using the Planes Paper Pack, Stickers and Laser Cut Embellishment Accents to create a quick layout about a bucket-list trip I made last fall to teach at a National Creative Memories Scrapbook Conference in Sydney, Australia! The Paper Pack is fantastic because one side of each paper features an overall geometric pattern in rich blues, browns, grays and greens (which are great for punching shapes or matting photos) while…

Hi everyone! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here. I hope that you are staying home and staying safe during this time. Many of us are passing the time being creative with paper crafting and memory-keeping projects: I’ve been working my way through vacation photos from our trip to sunny Southern California last year which I have waaaay too many of, and I’m happy to be sharing a layout today that features a new product from Creative Memories that has helped me get more photos onto my vacation scrapbook pages! Peekaboo Pockets are photo-safe transparent scrapbook pockets that can be adhered to your scrapbook page or protector with their self-adhesive strip and are the perfect way to add more memories and memorabilia! Although Creative Memories has offered Peekaboo Pockets in the standard 4” x 6” size for a while, I was so excited to see that they are now offering them in 5”…

Hi friends! Noreen here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here, sharing a layout based on the March 2020 Sketchy Challenge sketch! Each month I look forward to seeing and using Kerry Engelle’s FREE sketch, and this month I’m using the new Spring Medley Collection from Creative Memories to create my layout based on it. It is a beautiful collection with soft blue, aqua and green accented with navy, gray and beige, and I love that there is a Designer Paper Pack with beautiful patterns AND a Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack that are so versatile! The collection also features sweet stickers, beautiful mat cards, fun paper pockets & embellishments, and a beautiful new Spring Leaf Border Maker Cartridge – all of which work together to document so many different occasions and themes! Take a look: And here is Kerry’s March Sketch from the Sketchy Gallery that I’ll be basing my own layout on: To start…

Hi friends! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here with a fun and FREE Cut-File that is perfect to use with the new Magic Awaits collection by Creative Memories! This happy and bright collection is awesome for documenting photos of adventures in theme parks, carnivals and fairs, playgrounds, birthday parties and lots of other adventures. The red, black and yellow color palette make is super versatile for so many occasions! I loved the name of the collection so much that I decided to create a cut-file featuring it. The “Magic Awaits” title and shadow layer cut-files can be resized and used on layouts, mini-albums or even cards. I’ve provided both elements in PNG, JPG and SVG format so you can use it with many different electronic cutting machines. You can download the free cut-file in the OCM Shop I envisioned using this cut-file as the title on a layout showing my boys arriving…

Hi friends! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here with a Holiday Countdown project that can be whipped up in time for December 1st! I’ve used Creative Memories’ Merry Little Christmas papers and coordinating embellishments which boast traditional Christmas colours in fresh new patterns – perfect for this fun holiday project! Each year I like to come up with a slightly different version of an Advent Calendar or Christmas Countdown. This year I’m using a sweet little tag pocket that I first shared with other Creative Memories Advisors when I visited Australia back in September. Since then, I’ve been sharing this easy pocket as a great Make & Take, a Halloween Treat package, a Thanksgiving table decoration and now as the holder for Christmas Countdown activities. The pockets are easy to make from a 6” x 6” square of double-sided patterned paper, and I’ve created coordinating Date Circles and Insert cards for you,…

Hi friends! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share a really cool new way to display and showcase your scrapbook pages. If you’re like me, sometimes when you finish a layout you love, you don’t want to put it in an album right away; you want to put it somewhere you can see it and enjoy it! Creative Memories new Wooden Frame Hanger is an awesome way to display your precious pages until you’re ready to tuck them away in your album for safekeeping. The Wooden Frame Hanger is genius in its simplicity…just unscrew the fasteners, slip the edges of your layout in between the two wooden bars and tighten the screws. Then hang it from the decorative gold chain on a nail or hook. (Note that in my photos below, just the top hanger is shown, but it comes with another wooden bar that fastens onto the bottom of…

Hi friends! Noreen Smith from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here, sharing two layouts based on a single sketch featuring Harvest Delight and Wicked Cute collection by Creative Memories. As I mentioned last month, I create sketches to share on my own blog and YouTube Channel, but I ‘m always looking for new inspiration for my scrapbook pages. Did you know that every week, Creative Memories posts a Round-Up of sketches based on the layouts and projects shared that week on their blog? What an incredible, ongoing source for new ideas! I was itching to scrapbook as I couldn’t wait to play with the new fall and Halloween collections – Harvest Delight and Wicked Cute (just two more reasons to love fall!)… …and I wanted a fast and easy sketch that could fit three photos. I really liked this Creative Memories Sketch – I loved that it incorporated borders as part of the design…

Hello everyone! Noreen here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share my sketch-to-page process with you! Some of you know that I design monthly sketches to share on my own blog and YouTube Channel, but I LOVE to work with sketches from other designers too! Kerry Engel creates fresh sketches for the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Sketchy Gallery and I look forward to using them every month as a jumping-off point. Along with Kerry’s sketch I’ll be using a versatile new collection released this month by Creative Memories called Memoirs & Memories which features great neutral designs that can be used for so many different page themes (think heritage, travel, tribute and masculine pages!) and includes a Paper Pack, Stickers, Foiled Embellishments and Variety Mat Cards as well as an incredible album with pre-designed Fast2Fab pages! It’s gorgeous! I’m also going to be using the new Gears Chain Border Maker Cartridge to create…

Hey there! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here with some ideas for using not-so-standard sized papers to create standard 12” x 12” layouts. Creative Memories has an incredible line of products known as The Happy Album – a petite album that can be used as a journal, a planner or anything in between. New Happy Album Kits by Creative Memories are released each month and include various papers, embellishments, and instructions to create super cute spreads on the 6.75” x 10” Happy Album pages. They are so much fun! But sometimes I love the contents of the kits so much that I want to use them on my regular 12” x 12” scrapbook pages too. So, I’ve come up with two standard double-page spreads that make the most of the papers and stickers in the latest Happy Album Kit – #19 – leaving no paper scraps left behind! Since there are…
