Supplies You’ll Need

  • Lavinia Stamps: White Orbs Stencil, Seren Stamp, Balance Stamp
  • VersaColor Pigment Ink: White, Bamboo, Green Tea, Peony
  • Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock
  • VersaFine Pigment Ink – Onyx Black
  • Blending Brushes
  • Foam Tip Blending Brushes
  • Various Size Circle Stencil
  • Slightly Damp Baby Wipe

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Cardstock Panel
Start by placing the White Orbs stencil onto a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock. Using a foam tip ink applicator, pounce white pigment ink through the stencil to create the first layer of your background. Allow the ink to dry slightly.1- Lavinia Stamps Fairy Card Tutorial - Creative Scrapbooker Magazine

Step 2: Apply Bamboo Ink
Next, use a foam tip applicator to apply Bamboo pigment ink on the top third of the panel. Blend the ink gently using a blending brush to achieve a smooth transition.2- Lavinia Stamps Fairy Card Tutorial - Creative Scrapbooker Magazine

Step 3: Add Green Tea Ink
Repeat the process from step 2, but this time apply Green Tea pigment ink to the middle section of your panel. Blend the ink for a seamless look.3- Lavinia Stamps Fairy Card Tutorial - Creative Scrapbooker Magazine

Step 4: Finish with Peony Ink
For the bottom third of your panel, apply Peony pigment ink using the same technique. Make sure to blend the colors where they meet for a cohesive design.4- Lavinia Stamps Fairy Card Tutorial - Creative Scrapbooker Magazine

Step 5: Clean Up Excess Ink
Take a slightly damp baby wipe and gently wipe over the panel to remove any excess ink. This step will help in softening the colors and blending them further. Let the panel dry completely.5- Lavinia Stamps Fairy Card Tutorial - Creative Scrapbooker Magazine

Step 6: Create Circles with a Stencil
Using a homemade circle stencil made from acetate, position a large circle towards the bottom left of your panel. Pounce white pigment ink into the circle using a foam tip applicator. Repeat this step with smaller circles around the card panel. Allow the ink to dry.6- Lavinia Stamps Fairy Card Tutorial - Creative Scrapbooker Magazine

Step 7: Stamp the Seren Fairy
Once your panel is dry, stamp the Lavinia Stamps  Seren fairy and the word “wish” using VersaFine black pigment ink. Position these towards the lower portion of your panel.7- Lavinia Stamps Fairy Card Tutorial - Creative Scrapbooker Magazine

Step 8: Add Sentiments and Stars
To complete the design, stamp the “wish” sentiment multiple times along with small stars around the panel using the same black ink. Let everything dry before assembling your card.8- Lavinia Stamps Fairy Card Tutorial - Creative Scrapbooker Magazine
