Hi all! It’s Noreen Smith here to share an unbe-leaf-ably easy layout idea using Creative Memories products! The lovey and intricate Unbe-Leaf-Able Recipe Template launched last spring and was such a hit that CM decided to create a coordinating paper pack and border punch to make it even easier to create a show-stopping layout! Normally you trace the shapes of the template onto paper and cut them out with Micro-Tip Scissors, but with this limited edition promo Unbe-Leaf-Able Border punch, all you have to do is punch a row of the pretty leaves, snip them apart and place them according to their location on the recipe template! Easy and fast! And of course you can use the pretty border on it’s own in lots of other layouts too! (And psst…while the recipe template is part of the main CM lineup of products, the limited edition promo Unbe-Leaf-Able Bundle is only available for a limited time, so if you love it, grab it while you can!)
I love the colors and patterns of the Unbe-Leaf-Able Paper Pack…they are so fresh and springy and perfect to use with photos of my family’s recent trip to visit the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia where the early spring blooms were vibrant and lovely to see after a cold and snowy winter! I started by using the recipe template (shown below placed on a piece of Black Cardstock so it’s easier to see) to plan where I would add the photos. I wanted to use the punched leaf shapes around the edges of the layout and not have to cut out the larger leaf shapes at the four corners, so I knew I’d use a small photo in each corner instead. There was also enough room in the open center section of the template for two 3 1/2” x 5 1/2” photos and a title strip. I cut twelve 2 1/8” squares from the boysenberry tonal paper and punched three border strips with the Unbe-Leaf-Able Border Punch from the green gingko leaves paper, then snipped the borders into twelve individual leaves with the Micro-Tip Scissors. Then I placed the template on top of the white flower and leaves paper used as the base page, and arranged the photos, paper squares and individual leaves using the template to place and space them perfectly! I adhered everything with Repositionable Adhesive so I could adjust the pieces to fit as I went along, and it was perfect for adhering the intricately punched leaves. I matted the large photos onto some more of the green gingko leaves paper and adhered them in the centre of the leaves, and then decided that I should also mat the small photos in the corners on additional squares of the boysenberry tonal paper. A strip of the green gingko leaves paper and a simple title created with White Script ABC/123 stickers finished the layout. The leafy borders provide so much visual interest that I didn’t even need to add any other embellishments! I love how this hack with the gorgeous recipe template made it so easy to create a lovely layout! If you love how it turned out and want to try it yourself, make sure to snap up the Unbe-Leaf-Able promo bundle before it’s gone so you can make an unbe-leaf-ably lovely spring layout too!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

This is a very cute layout. I love that it’s highlighting her garden not just family members which is what we typically think about when Scrapbooking. Those leaves are great way to use up scraps. Thank you for the inspiration.
