Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout featuring papers from the FabScraps collection called Mother Earth.
I just love the gentle colours and the beautiful botanical images on these papers. I was totally inspired by the Berry Bliss sheet of patterned paper to scrapbook my love for raspberry freezer jam. We eat a lot of it in my house and I make jam all year round. Once I discovered freezer jam, I never went back to cooked jam. It just tastes a thousand times better and is so quick to make.

Here’s a few images of the paper in this FabScraps collection. Gorgeous. I like to fussy cut some of the images out and use these as extra embellishments to accent the page. I also used a sheet of finely corrugated cardboard that I had rescued out of a recycle bin a while back. It adds some interesting texture.
The page title is a FabScraps chipboard word. I snipped the word out of its chipboard frame and altered it with ink and embossing powder to make it a shiny black. I love the magic of embossing powder. Just cover the chipboard with embossing ink like Top Boss from Clearsnap, coat it with black embossing powder and heat to melt. Repeat once or twice as needed to get a nice smooth finish.
I finished the page up with some jute string from my kitchen utility drawer and some hand stitching with leftover embroidery thread, both frugal ways to add some extra embellishing to your scrapbook pages without much cost.
Hope everybody has a fabulous day!
Connie
